This Astros team is one of the best I've seen since I've been alive. Maybe you can catch Verlander on an off day or Grienke gets an ump that shrinks the strikezone or something and you can win a game or two but they just dont really have any flaws. Maybe you can keep some of their bats down with great pitching but thats every team.

The Nationals do have the formula to get it done. Great strikeout pitchers. They were able to shut down the Cardinals stars and strike out quite a lot of Dodgers, too. The Nationals can hit but not quite like the Astros.

On paper, this looks like Astros in 5. Certainly the pattern would be Astros in 6 as the Yanks and Rays were able to get 2 against the Astros. At the same time, it wouldn't be shocking to see the Nationals win here.

I hope my Nats get it done, but it will be an uphill climb. Then again, the Dodgers were supposed to be unbeatable too.

At any rate, Yankees lost. :D

Astros in 5 or 6 unfortunately. I would’ve said the same thing about the Yankees too.

Yeah the nationals path involves their studs stealing games on the road.

not impossible, especially with a 1-2 punch that can match the astros.

I think Astros in 6 is sort of 'chalk', and it comes down to if they under over overperform that

And yes, this is a tremendously talented team. Very strong.

Only the third time in the expansion era that the #1 & #2 rotations (By WAR) face off in the World Series.

2005 White Sox being near the top is a bit surprising.

they lacked a true ace but everyOne threw like 2/3s. Great depth.

Yeah, Garland was a pretty average pitcher but had a strong 2005. The bullpen was a bigger WTF.

is anyone else pissed off that they wont see a verlander vs Scherzer game 1???

if there is no game 1, there will likely not be a game 4, or 5 or 7...

Cole is great, but he doesn't have the name that people know about or care about...

Verlander vs Scherzer would be epic...

As a fan of baseball, I just hope neither shits the bed, and both teams play how they are capable of playing, if they do, it should be a great series.
