Grew up a huge Dodgers fan myself and Vin was always there over some 50 odd years. (Well until this year, so it was awesome to see him pregame in Game 2 for all that first pitch fun!)

He was great.

But the last few years, he kinda lost it. He still had the pipes, but he was just telling the same stories over and over, and would get distracted from the game on occasion.

Don’t get me wrong, he earned the right to go out on his own terms. But it was certainly time for him to ride off into the sunset.
