If Astros lose, they become the 3rd team to go to multiple World Series without winning one.

Padres (1984/1998) and Rangers (2010/2011) are the other two.

Never really thought of how unlucky the Padres were. Faced two of the greatest teams in the last 50 years in both of their World Series trips.

MLB hasn't had a first-time World Series winner since the 2002 Angels. Longest streak without a 1st-time winner since 1936-1954 between the Tigers and Dodgers first wins. 2nd longest streak all time.

Rabbit Maranville and Aparicio are tied

Maz and Ozzie are 4th and 5th respectively, Fox is tied for 7th with Rizzuto. 3rd is Ray Schalk and 6th is John Ward (19th Century guy)

Astros are the first team not named the Indians to clinch the ALCS with a shutout since the 1984 Tigers. Indians did it in 2016, 1997, and 1995.
