Not saying it's not true but what else would they say.
Well, it might just be the nice thing to say, but I cannot remember hearing it from pitchers about very many of our backup catchers down through the years.

I went back to look at the wording that Wilson used and the context. Wilson was explaining why he thought Huff should be the backup catcher in 2024. He mentioned about Gray and the other pitchers liking throwing to Huff, but there is no mention about how he found that out. Maybe he asked him point blank if he liked throwing to Huff, but there is no way to know that. He could have simply heard pitchers mentioning that at some point and decided to include it in the article, but who knows.

I would imagine him knowing what the pitchers thought was part of what led him to the opinion that Huff should be the backup, but again, that is just a guess.

Wilson has been covering the team for quite awhile now, so I would think he could distinguish the genuine feelings from the polite ones, but that is just my opinion based on reading his articles. I couldn't say that for sure.

They will use 8 pitchers in the first exhibition game with everyone scheduled to pitch just one inning with the exception of Bradford, who will throw two innings.

From Kennedi Landry:

Kent worked at Tread Athletics in Charlotte, N.C. -- along with White and Dunning -- to build up his strength and refine his mechanics in the offseason. He should be in a much better place this year, whether he breaks camp with the big league club or not.

“With health, I have confidence now,” Kent said. “Now that I'm healthy, I have a ton of confidence in my ability and just letting the chips fall where they may. When I'm healthy, I don't feel like there's many teams that can put a good game against me. I'm pretty diligent in my in my work and work ethic, and I work hard. I take pride in going six, seven innings. That's what I was able to do when healthy.”

Tread Athletics is where Ragans got helped last offseason.

Tyler Zombro, the reliever we signed late last year, who had suffered the serious head injury a couple of years ago, works at Tread in the offseason. That is why I have high hopes for him. The guy really knows pitching so maybe he can figure out how to get himself ready for the big leagues.

If Leody keeps Langford out of the OF and Langford is at DH, then that is how Leody blocks Foscue.
Exactly. Did not think it was not understandable. lol As long as Leody remains with the team he will be holding someone from advancing. We need Foscue inmo as well as Carter and Lankford.

It's both. Think about it.
Leody will block Langford so either the Rangers trade Leody or Langford will start the season in AAA. Foscue could still make the 26 as a a bench player/DH

I see no value in keeping Leody. Time to trade him and have the best OF in baseball.
Langford Carter Garcia
