Glad the Arizona spring training portion of the schedule is pretty much over. It really is unwatchable baseball. Kudos to those of you who follow it more closely than just looking at the box scores which is all I can stomach doing.

Not sure I understand this decision.

Have read speculation that they will have him on the Opening Day roster and keep him for a couple of weeks to let the other teams rosters settle out before trying to send him to the minors. They obviously think at this time that they can fix his swing and he can become a decent utility player for them.

I'm guessing that Foscue or Smith would be the one to start in AAA and be brought up when they try to do the player swap later. BTA it all depends on the statuses of Lowe, Seager and Jung as to who stays and who gets released/sent down, so we'll see how it all transpires in the next few days...

Another issue will arise when they decide to activate Lorenzen in who'll be sent down to open a spot for him, but I'm guessing they'll let performances determine who goes back to the minors...
