Lots of parallels between Robbie Thompson and Charlie. Both guys were baseball lifers nobody gave a shot to but have accounted well for themselves once given that chance.

The Giants were never favored in any series in any of their 3 championship runs. That 2014 team in particular was not great but Madison Bumgarner basically won the World Series single handedly, like a hot goalie in hockey.
