I've been playing the game for almost fifty years and still have trouble breaking 100 on any course.

The man changed the game and the way the pros played it. Because of him, club design was changed.

He deserves exemption. He certainly doesn't get a great deal of television screen time anymore.

Maybe you all should watch those corn hole tournaments instead of golf, if Woods pisses you off so badly.

I walk at every course who will allow it. The two courses where I am a member both allow walkers. They charge extra for a cart and no way am I going to pay the golf course to help me have a heart attack

I've never been Tiger fan. But he is the main reason there's so much money in golf to go around these days. Total prize money nearly tripled his first 12 years on tour. It owes him. They all owe him. Just like what Arnie did to the game's popularity in the late 50s/early 60s Tiger did starting in 1997, but to an even much greater extent.

B) if no one wanted to watch him, then the tour wouldn’t be bending over backwards to secure his presence.

That's what I'm saying. Its a sad state of affairs on the PGA Tour when they have to drag out a balding old has been who can't break 80 in order to get PGA fans to watch an event

That at least makes his charity exemption a little more palatable. But it just goes to show you how lame the PGA has become when they have to bring in a washed up has been to get crowds to show up
