I don't know if Blake is a great fit with the W's but as I've said in the other thread people really are selling short what he did in 18/19.

But he is a high volume guy that you pretty much need to run offense through.

I don’t think he is the type of defender they need. And, the injury factor is huge too.

I take Wiggins straight up over Blake easily if I have the Warriors roster.

I think they need to trade down them for extra picks.

Blake has huge potential for them if he’s healthy. Far more than Wiggins. And if they’re not taking ball they might as well take the trade down to take the role player.

It is just that the way they are valued and the skill sets that are important have changed.

Being a versatile defender who can protect the rim and defend in space is the most important skill for bigs.

Anything they can do offensively is a bonus. But those offensive skills are somewhat devalued if they aren’t plus defenders.

He is a solid big man.

But is he worth a max contract in the modern league?

no.

He will get paid more than PJ Tucker, because he is a better player. But there is a reason why teams built around guys like him and Blake Griffin aren’t very good.
