What are some logical moves the Wolves can push with this pick? A lot of people have said how nice it would be if they can some how trade this pick to the Suns for Devin Booker. Booker, Russell, and KAT all came out of the same draft and are friends when Russell was with GS there was a rumor where they talked about them all leaving their team and going to the East. Cap space would make having all 3 of them almost impossible.

Timberwolves open to trading No. 1 pick, expected to base decision purely on value, per report

They are still on rookie max deals, so actually very feasible to have all 3 on the same roster.

Phoenix would need significantly more than #1 overall for Booker though. Especially after what he and the team accomplished in the bubble.

Yeah it’s gonna take a lot more than the #1. If they want Booker that bad, maybe start with a package revolving around the #1 and Culver

Well the natural question is this shouldn't bookers contract be ending soon? I believe he becomes a restricted free agent and the Suns can match whatever other teams offer but I would imagine its Bookers feelings in wanting to stay in Phoenix because once the rumors start to come out that a star player plans on leaving and testing free agency no team will spend their high draft pick let along the #1 overall pick to trade for that person.

He just signed a long-term extension in 2018 I believe. He won't be a FA till 2024

O hell then yeah better to keep him

And even if he was heading toward restricted free agency, like Jayson Tatum, the Suns still would have almost full control over whether or not they wanted to resign him.

This, and im not so sure about a backcourt of book and rus, no defense and both are ball dominant. We need an offense where kat creates inside out rotation. With book and rus, kat wont get his touches, and will mope.

it starts with those 2 and Okogie.

but after the run Phoenix just went on, they may not want to, unless minny has the cap space to take something so Phoenix can sign Fred vanfleet

Not a great draft so they won't get much for it.....and they definitely won't get Booker.....LOL.

They kind of have to, they gave away an extremely high value pick in next draft for the guarantee that they will never play defense. Rosas has shown that you can really adjust the chairs on the titanic and nothing will change.

The Suns actually drafted Culver and then traded him last year. If this draft had a sure prospect like Zion then maybe they would think about it. That #1 pick is worthless when it comes to trying to trade for a talent like Booker

...and neither Booker nor DRuss plays much d. Not a recipe for success really.

Yeah I would think any team would be open to trading this pick in this specific draft...pretty weak. It still doesn't mean there won't be a potential star though. Still...I don't see anyway they trade Booker especially the way the season ended this year and the Suns hotstreak. He's still only 23. The Suns need to add a 3rd option to be a nice playoff team imo. Will say Oubre had a very nice season. Maybe a stretch 4 or another defender...they don't play much defense.

Might as well just draft Edwards or Ball and hope they reach their potential if Booker is their (unreachable) target.

They need Booker to complete their set of KAT Best Friends Forever.
