Well with Ben officially out the rest of the 2019 and maybe career...the D has to step up if Tomlin’s “streak” is to stay intact
I've said it many times before, and will stick to it even though I may have to eat these words thanks to Rudolph giving us hope... But I strongly believe that without Ben, Tomlin gets completely exposed for the terrible coach that he is.

I feel bad hoping for failure.

But Tomlin's gotta be thoroughly exposed, or it's just continuing the same old shit. Maybe Mason can play really well, but still the knob lickers on D keep throwing the game away.

To be totally honest, I support the team so that means supporting Tomlin, but since the 2016 AFCCG, I've made my feelings known of his inability to do the job....enough said on that end.

We all were in his corner for the majority of his career. I don't recall exactly when I turned on him, quite possibly the same time as you, but there are a truckload of terrible moments we could point to.

It's time for change.

He got a one year extension, through 2021.

Silver lining is that is all they gave him. Confidence is low, otherwise it would have been a multi-year. If Ben is done, it's a perfect time to start a new chapter, and bring in a new guy.

From a scheme perspective...they laid down like dogs in that game and I just had very little respect for his ability to coach after that.

With Ben out for the year, I'd like to take back my yesterday 9:06 post as overly optimistic.

Exactly what I said... Fichtner hung Ben out to dry in the 1st half.

For me I think it really came down to the realization they needed to "win now" because of Ben's age and who knew how long Brown and Bell would stick around. When he couldn't produce a winner with that trio on offense I knew he wasn't good.
