Exactly like when BCS team, Oklahoma, beat us down earlier in the year, right?

How in the dee-diddley hell can texas beat a team that is in a BCS game and not be in one themselves?

Heh...Carolina beat TWO of them: Central Florida and Clemson. And now, we'll NEVER play in a BCS game.

But, the likes of Boise State, Utah, Northern Illinois, TCU (pre-Big XII) and Hawaii have played in them, sometimes even winning.

T'aint fair.

Edit: Freakin' Connecticut has played in a BCS game. In FOOTBALL!

I see SCarolina in a similar situation as Michigan State. If you don't win the conference, you aren't going to a BCS bowl. Not a big enough name to be selected as an at large bid because the bowl committees are all about money.

If Michigan State lost to Ohio State, Oregon would probably be going to a BCS bowl and Michigan State would be going to the Capital One Bowl.

True. I've always seen our programs as twins separated at birth: lesser name recognition than the other teams in the region, career-.500 records, few conference titles (in SC's case, hardly any), and complete historical domination at the hands of our big in-state rival. I have really enjoyed watching both of our teams rise up the past several years, and I hope it continues for both. Would love to get you guys in a bowl game sometime.
