That is a killer. The game's not over, but it's looking very good for Detroit right now.

Man...this is an interesting game. Wings, other than recent penalties, look like the '07-'08 team.

what a period. unbelievable. backbreaker goal on a breakaway after killing off a 5-3 by none other than brad stuart.

i think i might need another beer.

That hurts. Cheap delay of game by Zetterberg, gets away with it, and then Stuart scores the other way.

But I'm kind of the belief that if you can't score on a long 5 on 3 when down by two in an elimination game.... you probably don't deserve to win.

if you can get away with it....

teams do that all the time and don't get called. there were enough wishy washy calls both ways that the second part of yor statement holds more water. score on your5-3 and you don't have much to complain about.

Or get a shot on goal in 1:12....just replayed the 5-on-3 .. no apparant shots on goal, all blocked, wide, or hit own player.

There was no urgency that you'd expect from veterans like Morris and Schneider. You'd think they of all players would know better. Detroit getting that 4th goal was a huge dagger, but even if they hadn't gotten that, that 5 on 3 was still a huge turning point in the game. The Yotes needed to score on that. Like I said earlier, a snail would have moved faster across the ice than the puck did when Schneider and Morris were passing it. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that on a 5 on 3.
