Found this interesting:
Earlier today chicagobears.com posted a story Titled: Wilson excelling as No. 3 WR
...as of now the headline is still there, but when you click on it- it says: The Article may have expired or has been deleted.

That sucks.

Sucks, but Hixon/Morgan are more than capable backups for the first month. He'll be back.

I think this is a big loss, considering the expectations and the path paved for him.

It is going to hurt having him out of the line up, but hopefully he can come back strong. It just sucks that he is going to miss that tough stretch in the schedule.

I've been thinking about this a little more. As much as it sucks- and we did have high expectations for him...he is just a guy that had what 2 catches last year? I know we have to replace Earl's "production" of the 3rd WR and we thought that he would be that guy- but we don't know if he would have panned out. Hoped- but don't know.
Let's see if they bring anyone else in or one of these camp bodies get's a chance. Who knows we could find the next Marcus Robinson.

Maybe they should bring Bennett back? Last I heard, he was released by Cleveland:noidea:

It's the one position we are loaded at, he would/will not be a big part of the offense right away anyway. Too many good targets ahead of him. He will show he belongs this year. He will be a force one day in the near future. I'm looking forward to his return.

Was this an injury trying to dive to catch a ball that our franchise quarterback over threw again?

Well, on 30+ yard throws, I don't know to many QB's that can consistently hit a Wr running full speed in stride. In fact I can't think of a single one that is above 50% accurate on deep passes.

But, I get your dig.

Yeah, right after I posted that I remembered he tore his ACL in mini-camp. My bad.

Oh gawd… shut up already.

It's so obvious you're in love with Jay. I wouldn't be shocked if you stalked him around and sent him love letters on a consistent basis.

I've always liked Bennett a lot, but there's no need. Josh Morgan is literally an Earl Bennett clone. Almost identical stats in almost identical snaps and games played. Also can return punts, and blocks pretty well.

Lighten up and laugh a little will ya? Just seeing how many run to defend Jay that didnt see the play again.

The Bears signed a kid that played with Seattle last year, Herd or 6'3" 220lb Wr.

They also worked out Santonio Holmes too. Might be some negotiations for Holmes and moving some Cutler dollars to get him.

I'd take a shot for near vet min... Problem is, he still thinks he's some sort of league MVP candidate.

Edit: Ultimately, would he really want to play on a team where he is the 4th or 5th option?

Josh Morgan can be a serviceable #3. I hate the collar bone injury though, once you break it, it tend to be an ongoing problem. If he breaks it again, his career could be over.
