my apologies ... his argument is just devoid of any clarity .... saying Torres brings nothing to the table ... while saying "carbomb" does ... because he scored one playoff goal so far?

my only point was he could of played the puck and its playoff time no need to put your team on the pk...i know torre can bring alot to play but he is not using his head..he just got back from suspension....

As a player, I would often go for the hit over the puck because I was more likely to do something good with a hit than attempting to play the puck. I would free up the puck for someone behind me following onto the play and remove a potential defender from the play. It's a valid hockey play to go for the hit.

He said something before you did, and that's what prompted my first comment. I was just saying I probably wouldn't have posted in this thread at all if Jeff hadn't said something about not seeing anything wrong with the hit. I'm glad you reinforced us, though.

That was pretty much my take on it.

Definitely not interference, maybe could call it charging if they're really determined to throw a game or two at him.

what i find hilarious is that it seems that "3 hour" Dan Marouelli didnt seem to know about this rule when he analyzed it during the 2nd intermission ... he went off on Torres and didnt bring up anything about the NHL's desire to keep this type of hit that happens behind the net in the game

plus he kept calling him Ralphie (lol) ... maybe this is how he gets punished

No way that should be suspendable. Completely horse shit if he does. The puck was on his blade, and that was shoulder to shoulder for sure. WTF are you supposed to do if a player is not looking? This game is truly being watered down way too much, really sad. There is a fine line between a dirty hit and a clean hit. I am all for punishing players for dirty hits, even if it is a Bruin. That right there was not dirty.

also interesting, it wasn't that his that finally made Seabrook leave the bench, it was the next shift out where Torres plowed him again. (also no response from the hawks)

Exactly... That wasn't interference, that wasn't charging. That should not have even been a penalty. I'm actually kind of irritated at this now.
