Word. Through another way to look it could be. The last years 3 Skins QBs have tossed 16 TDs/16 INTs in 2020, 18 TDs/13 INTs in 2019, 16 TDs/15 INTs in 2018. Compared to those #s a 2 TD/1 INT ratio would be a significant improvement.
That is my hope, about a 2 TD to 1 Int average. Fitz has traditionally been a little worse. Even so he would be better than the 1 TD to 1 Int average the WFT have had the past three years.

I voted for #4. Yes this team is much better on paper than last years. Yes we do have a tougher schedule but so does the rest of the NFC East. Main competition should be the Cowboys but there defense is so bad that we should get the edge.

I hope they’ll be better than last year. It seems like they are doing everything correctly to get better than last year. I especially like not parting with draft picks to get a mediocre upgrade at qb.

They do have a first place schedule to contend with next year, which wont help matters, but their defense should keep them in every game, and it’s probable that their offense will be better than last year.

With their schedule, it’s concievable for them to be significantly better but still finish at 9-7, or 8-8.

I think the goal this year should be a winning record. Hopefully that lets the WFT contend for the division.

I couldn't agree more. Rivera is just getting his feet under him, your QB situation is as good or better than it was last year and you'll have more talent at the WR spot. The team could actually be better but have about the same record. The division isn't all that improved but for Dak being healthy, still ya'll's schedule...

Who do they play? They could be a better team but finish with a worse record. Cowboys will win the NFC East.

Right now 5-12 or at best 6-11. If the QB question is answered as expected and planned this prediction jumps to 10-7 or at best 11-6.

I dont think they got noticeably worse, Sty, so I dont think 5-12 or 6-11 are realistic predictions, even with the teams they are playing.

Until they arent, the WFT are a team that will beat a team or two they werent supposed to each year (sweeping the cowboys, beating the steelers), and also lose to a team or two they shouldnt (losing to the giants twice, the lions).

Only teams that are consistently good year in and year out dont fall prey to some inferior opponent on their yearly schedule.

I don't believe that they got noticeably worse either, just noticeably lucky last season in the worse division in football. They now will play a first place schedule with essentially the same QB corp as that of a year ago. There's a reason why I qualified my predictions and as such attempted to show how different it will be once the QB question is answered. I'm not convinced that we haven't seen the very best of Heinicke or that he'll hold up as other teams get film on him. Never had a bit of confidence in Kyle Allen and the newest addition strikes me as less the stopgap answer and more of today's version of sexy Rexy.

Under the Collective Bargaining Agreement signed in March 2020, the 2021 regular season is the first one to be eligible to be expanded from 16 to 17 games. Under the NFL's current scheduling formula for a 16-game regular season, each team plays the other three teams in its own division twice. In addition, a team plays against all four teams in one division from each conference.

I think we are both dealing with the 'IF' problem right now so I'll just offer my prediction on what I see at the moment with a disclaimer that this could change, or maybe not, before Week 1.

I feel generous tonight so looking at this kick our ass schedule and what we have at the moment . . . . . 7-10.

How long has it been since an NFC East champ has repeated?

Absolutely correct! "IF" looms larger than ever for every team in this division. ("IF"...Jalen Hurts, WR's TE's and offensive line "IF" ...Daniel Jones and the NYG defense, "IF" Dak, Zeke, Amari, their offensive line and entire defense, and "IF" ...Washington's QB rotation, offensive line and defensive backfield.) That's a ton of "IF's however, moving on...

The Philadelphia Eagles won four straight NFC East Championships from 2001-2004. That was the last time a team in our division won even two consecutive titles. The last time that Washington won consecutive NFC East titles was in 1982, 1983, and 1984. Prior to 1982, Washington won only one NFC East title dating back to 1970 when the division was first formed.

2020 - Washington Football Team ( 7-9)
2019 - Philadelphia Eagles (9-7)
2018 – Dallas Cowboys (10-6)
2017 – Philadelphia Eagles (13-3)
2016 – Dallas Cowboys (13-3)
2015 – Washington Football Team (9-7)
2014- Dallas Cowboys (12-4)
2013 – Philadelphia Eagles (10-6)
2012 – Washington Football Team (10-6)
2011 – New York Giants (9-7)
2010 – Philadelphia Eagles (10-6)
2009 – Dallas Cowboys (11-5)
2008 – New York Giants (12-4)
2007 – Dallas Cowboys (13-3)
2006 – Philadelphia Eagles (10-6)
2005 – New York Giants (11-5)

I know the game is played on the field rather than on paper let's look at the paper version for a moment:

Washington - A lot of hype, hopefully true hype, on how we have improved offensively with FA.

Dallas - Loaded offensively and with a new defensive coordinator I think that mess will be cleaned up too.

New York - Barkley back and good FA signings as well, not to mention they seem to own us no matter what their roster is.

Philadelphia - The biggest "IF" to me with Hurts getting more comfortable in their system.

Like you said, there are just too many "IFS" this early to make an even close to accurate prediction.

Many of us are eagerly awaiting why you don't think Fitz will ever take a snap in a regular season game which I presume you will reveal to us after the draft.

Predictions at this time of the year are normal and fun for most. We don't know shit until they have a team and start playing tough.

I believe Fitz will be here.

All this QB talk in the offseason and only a couple have moved.

The reason this division never gets repeat winners is because there has not been 1 dominant team. They are all average to below average.

So the average team with the 1st place schedule struggles, while the team with the last place schedule grabs a few extra easy wins.

WFT has that first place schedule this year. Unfortunately, I would be very surprised if we can repeat even though I do expect the team to be better.
