I would think he would like to stop talking about it, as long as he does he people won't view him as a football player, they will view him as the gay football players. He was thought a borderline 4th round pick before the Combine. His horrible showing at the Combine though now has analyst saying he is a 6th-7th round project. He is just too small to play DE yet too slow to be a linebacker so teams just have no clue how he would fit on the team plus throw in the media circus that comes with a guy like this. Teams will have to weigh whether it is worth a 6th round pick bringing that to the team. I mean imagine he stinks it up during training camp and the team cuts him. It would be a PR nightmare for the team. There would almost be pressure to just keep him in fear of the repercussions.

I suspect that poster was right, Sam knew the environment he was entering, I imagine his train of thought was to put it all on the table. Seems it would be better other players knew that up front rather than finding out mid season. And I can understand how he does not want that to be the main topic of conversation every time he is interviewed.
