First baseball had the steroid era and people said they weren’t gonna watch baseball anymore but in the end people still came back and watched baseball. Now we have this cheating scandal and people are freaking out saying it will ruin the game. It may this year and next but people will come to accept and come back just like they did with the steroid era.

I can’t help you. It’s there
Okay it's really not that important. If I ever did post a comment where I said "Snitches get wasted”, I don't remember the subject of that comment, or how long ago. :noidea:

You're probably right, but the Astros have left a scar on baseball and the World Series. There should (and probably will) be an asterisk next to the 2017 MLB World Series winner forever.

Good point, apparently some Astro fans don't give a damn if they cheat, just as long as they keep winning. :noidea:
That is not what I was saying at all. Astros fans are no different than other fans. I'm saying the ones that are taking a hard stance against their home team now, if they love baseball are still looking for a reason to rationalize what the team did so they can still be fans. They don't want to stop being baseball fans. So they either need the Astros to win this year and not be involved in any more cheating schemes or have a few other teams get caught doing something similar so they can play the "well everyone is doing it, it's just part of the game" card.

Even before the steroid era, there was the Strike of 94. Which was worse than the Steroid Era and the Trash Cans combined put people came back.

Yes no doubt fans will come back, but the cheating Astros will be on fans minds forever. When someone ask who won the 2017 World Series, they will say "the cheating Astros" won the 2017 World Series.
