HISL

Even those wins (when they're finally ready to play), are by the skin of their teeth.

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt because of injuries. Honestly I think what he has done since Minnesota, minus the turnovers, is pretty impressive. If that sort of play began week 1 I would have no problem with him. The failure to compete and self destruct is what gets me.

I hope he's fired, getting the bare minimum doesn't cut it in my book. Nobody should get paid millions of $'s for half assing it, the apprenticeship experiment is over, it hasn't worked

There, I said it

Side note here is if they're not serious about hiring someone proven then just keep him, what's the difference
-------
If a decision is to be made, it's my hope nothing is even considered until after a bowl. Hving said that if he wins out--he probably stays, but with 5 losses--who knows? Despite Saturday's win the same issues that have plagued Bo throughout his tenure still happened. Besides PSU took us to overtime? Really?

Hail Mary, last minute TD, and OT, against (4-7), (7-4), and (6-5) respectively.

Northwestern best win- Syracuse (5-6)
Michigan best wins- Notre Dame (8-3), Minnesota (8-3)
Penn St best wins- Michigan (7-4), Syracuse (5-6)

The Michigan win in Ann Arbor likely saved Bo's job.

This is what I want. He is the head coach and can hire who ever he want but this not playing a decent game until November shit has to go.

This year we had our blowout game , UCLA 38 unanswered points, our meltdown game, Michigan State 5 turnovers, and our WTF game, Minnesota, fucking Minnesota!!:wtf:

Yeah Pelini you got these guys looking decent enough to compete in our division in November but we start playing football in September. If you can't get them ready by then get the fuck out.

Bo is implicated as an apprentice as far as I see, he was under TO's wing all but 1 year yet still can't put it all together

exactly we wait 2 months to figure it out.... college football is year round prep wise from winter condition to spring ball to summer 7-7 then fall camp... where we hear how nasty the defense is gonna be haha.

9-3 is getting by when you have no marquee wins or divisional title. that not Nebraska

Here's my thoughts. At this point I'm willing to give him 1 more year. With the injuries and improvement on D throughout the year, I will give him one more chance to win some big games or at least compete significantly better in them then he has in the past.

Another thing, is he needs to make changes this offseason. New LB coach, new SC coach, and somewhere in there he needs to find someone that can coach the punt return unit. I'm sick of how bad that unit is.

if Bo could make changes staff wise I wouldn't mind him staying. but he's too loyal and he won't. The Bo-pap DC issue special teams, wheel of linebacker.

If he could that would help him but like I said I don't think he will bo loyal which is good but some times it can blind you .

If we retain Bo and he doesn't make any staff changes I will go into next season depressed with no hopes like a kicked puppy.

LOL2 coach K:

Regarding negative rumors about the coaches and program.

“That’s mostly for guys in their basements that put a cyber mustache on and follow 18-year old kids,” Kaczenski said. “The only thing I envy is their time.
“Our guys are in the arena, the coaches are in the arena and I would much rather be in the arena than be a critic. Usually the people snaking comments like that have never been in the arena, so it doesn’t matter. As young as our kids are, they’re able to push through adversity and push through that noise. They understand that’s a minority voice. They know what Nebraska people think of them, that’s why that place (Memorial Stadium) has sold out since 1962.”

Can they 'push through' piss poor coaching?

Just by the hair of their chinny-chin-chins.

I have a question regarding the outcry for Bo to change some assistants.

Honestly, what is that going to change. Let's say he fires Els like people want. What is going to be different. He will be replaced by another "yes man" that will be hand strung by Bo and his system and his "process". If he gets rid of Papuchis then he hires another guy to signal in the defensive calls that he makes.

I just don't see how shaking up the assistants will change anything with Bo's stubbornness.

I am actually really starting to feel comfortable with this Defense on the field.......so I don't really understand why anyone is bitching about that anymore.

We got a bunch of young guys out there playing out of their minds right now. I am happy with that.

It's the Offense that has put us in poor positions starting with the Minnesota game. Tim Beck needs to channel his emotions and try not to throw a hail mary 15 times in the 2nd half once we get down a score

I really do like Coach K but the performance of our Dline since he was retained, minus 1 Juco DE, hasn't exactly been what I was hoping to see from him, more time coaching less time chatting it up with players about rumors that apparently not even worth mentioning

He wouldn't do that and it wouldn't make any difference if he did, any new coach would be under the same coaching strategy as they are now
