Because the Steelers fans are pointing the finger at the wrong guy. It's not Tomlin's fault the roster is not good enough, without him they don't even have the records they have putting up recently. He got pretty much everything he could get from rosters that just aren't good enough. And until they get another franchise QB this is where they will remain.
I get both sides to this, it’s hard to win without great players, but I think just looking at Tomlin as a coach specifically there’s factors such as game-planning incorrectly, hiring the wrong coordinators and keeping the ones that struggle to adjust or adapt too long. It’s Tomlin‘s fault that his teams always shit the bed down the stretch every single year because he's not actually that great of a coach anymore.
What good is finishing above .500 every year if you always crap the bed in the first game? All you do is put your team in a position to never draft the franchise QB they desperately need especially since the team seems to have to have an aversion trading up to get one.
Ah I told @thedddd her name last night but I spelled it incorrectly because I went with the closed captioning spelling.Really well done rendition of our National Anthem, worth a watch
Yeah, I see real issues with Tomlin, too. Whiffing on Pickett really does seem like it set them back a couple of years. They've doubled down on a style that doesn't quite get the job done.I get both sides to this, it’s hard to win without great players, but I think just looking at Tomlin as a coach specifically there’s factors such as game-planning incorrectly, hiring the wrong coordinators and keeping the ones that struggle to adjust or adapt too long.
I mentioned that last night. I felt bad that I missed her name when posting the thought, she was great.Really well done rendition of our National Anthem, worth a watch

The Bills did not yet know the heartache that would ensue afterwards.Blast from the Past
Again how is it Tomlin's fault that they have had a roster that's only good enough to finish above .500. A coach's job is to get the best out of what he has to work with and nobody has done it better than Mike Tomlin. He had winning records and made the playoffs with QBs like Pickett and Tribusky for God's sake. It’s Tomlin‘s fault that his teams always shit the bed down the stretch every single year because he's not actually that great of a coach anymore.

A big part of the Chiefs success is their ability to raise the floor of the team to give Mahomes enough depth to outlast teams. Steelers have a ceiling problem. They dont have a Mahomes. Apples and oranges imo. That's just it, while it's still football, the best coaches adapt to modern trends and implement them. I think that's the reason Reed is so successful, he innovates and gets fresh blood in his assistant staff and probably listens to them.
A ha! Aren’t snap counts an official stat?
