I don’t think the eagles have played a team like the 49ers yet either. The 49ers can beat anybody.
Eagles Dline is too good for Niners O to handle for 4 qtrs. Purdy will suddenly look really rookie for the first time.

Eagles will be the toughest team the 49ers have played all year. Eagles are a better all around team. The 49ers had a soft schedule. They played in a really bad division and also played the NFC South which might have been the worst division in the league. Eagles played in the best division in the league.

Eagles backed into the playoffs? They were the first team to secure a playoff spot! They ended the season with the best record in the league. They own the #1 seed in the NFC. They backed into the playoffs?
actually I believe the Niners were the 1st to secure a playoff spot IIRC.
Think they both did it same weekend but the Niners played that week on a Thurs.

Either way. Sounds like you are trying to talk yourself into they arent that strong LOL.

Also weakest division has two playoff teams?
Meanwhile there is a division with a 8-9 champ & three 7-10 teams. But the division of the team you are afraid of is in the weakest?
:susp:

You talking about a soft schedule, hilarious. You're signature win outside your division is beating Kirk Cousin and the Jags early in the season.

What exactly is the 49ers signature win outside of the division? And why discount the Eagles wins in their division? It was the by far the best division in the league. 49ers played in one of the worst divisions.

49ers beat 3 teams that finished with winning records:

Chargers 10-7
Seahawks 9-8 x3
Miami Dolphins 9-8

Eagles beat 5 teams that finished with winning records:

Cowboys 12-5
Vikings 13-4
Giants 9-7-1 x2
Lions 9-8
Jaguars 9-8

Eagles had 1 loss against a team that finished with a winning record and it was with their backup QB on the road in a close game.

49ers had 1 loss against a team that finished with a winning record and it was when the Chiefs blew them out 44-23.

How exactly did the 49ers go through a tougher schedule?

So Staley's two final games involve losing a star receiver in a meaningless loss to the Broncos and then a choke in a game where they were gifted a ton of turnovers? That's amazing
They lost Carter too making his decision last week even worse.

We would play them in 2 weeks in Philadelphia. Eagles were the #1 seed in 2017 and hosted the NFC Championship game against the #2 seed then too and they blew them out.

That's not what I'm talking about...but ok

The best division in football? The one that’s responsible for 2 of their 3 losses?

The Eagles are 7-1 vs above .500 teams. That’s the best mark in the NFL. The truth is that there really is a lot of meh in the NFL this year.

Did you spell NFC wrong, because the top of the AFC is a gauntlet

Justin Herbert can only manage a field goal in the second half of the game, no points in the 4th.
well he did set up for another chip shot FG that got missed. So there is that.

I wish Staley well with the Chargers. I don't wish the Chargers well because of their owner. If that owner wants to fire another HC with a winning record, (19-15), then I hope karma 'comes-a-visiting'. As a Rams fan i'd obviously like to see Staley back as the Rams DC but realistically NFL HCs with winning records get better offers.

You forgot the Steelers 9-8

I would say that the Niners “signature win” was the Chargers. After tonight the Chargers are like 1-6 or 1-7 vs playoff teams.

It’s not about signature wins though. I think it comes down to matchups. The two teams kind of mirror each other in the way it’s constructed. If the Niners come into Philly and win their 13th game in a row, I’ll tip my cap to them because that would be a very impressive run.
