The new WC format treats it like a regular season 3 game series.

For one, they didn't want to add travel days and force the teams with byes to sit even longer.

Seeding matters. Fighting for the 4 seed to get a home series makes teams keep playing beyond just securing a post season seat.

Besides, 3 of the 4 road teams won their series.

It's way better than the one game play in bullshit no one liked.

Want home field? Play better.

That another rule that was changed. 3 game series and better record gets all 3 at home. The 3 game series is so much better though, no issues with all at home. Too much travel just for a 3 game series. It's a great change
