I think this is the team I'm rooting for this playoffs, longest WS drought and most cursed sports town in the country. Honorable mention to Houston (would love to see Dusty Baker get a ring). In the NL maybe the Mets, it's been a while.
*correction

I meant the Guardians advanced to the *ALDS...not NLDS....stupid iphones....lol

Also..the Mets were in the WS as recently as 2015....but lost to KC.

But yeah their last title was in '86.

I hope they step up today...it's do or die now.

Grisham hit a good pitch out. Good hitters can do that.

I’m stunned, can’t believe the M’s came back down 7 in a playoff game .. Honestly I was looking at the pitching matchups for game 3 and suddenly M’s went crazy .. That’s only the 3rd time in MLB playoff history a team has come back down 7… Toronto at one point had a 99 percent chance to win that game … I’m stunned

Congrats to Albert Pujols and Yadier Molina on awesome Hall-of-Fame careers.

The Cardinals just couldn't generate any runs in two games (3 total). Everything was in order until the 9th inning of game 1 and it went south from there. They had a helluva season (93-69), but came up short.

AL
(1)HOU (106-56) v (5)SEA (90-72)
(2)NYY (99-63) v (3)CLE (92-70)

NL
(1)LAD (111-51) v (4)NYM (101-61) or (5)SD (89-73)
(2)ATL (101-61) v (6)PHI (87-75)

Wow...3 sweeps today.

Mets stayed alive for a game 3 mañana.

Gonna be Guardians @ Yankees....& Mariners @ Astros in the best of 5 ALDS.
Phillies @ Braves in the best of 5 NLDS.

Winner of Sunday's game 3 Mets-Padres will be @ Dodgers in the other NLDS.

I'm surprised there's not a re-seeding. Shouldn't LA get to play the lower seed (Philly)?

Yeah, they don't do it like the NFL. They do seed the teams like the NFL. However, it's lock bracketed like the NCAA basketball tournament.

I would've seeded the NL teams as such:
(1)LAD (111-51)
(2)ATL (101-61)

(6)PHI (87-75) @ (3)NYM (101-61)
(5)SD (89-73) @ (4)STL (93-69)

Well yeah based on ability but obviously the division winner has to be higher than any wild card.
