I am just glad we can agree the Heat arent doing anything.
and the problem with Riley is a common problem guys run into towards the end of their careers
the dude is 72 years old.
When a college coach gets up there in age and his retirement is imminent in the next couple years- players know that- they realize the guy that is trying to convince them to sign on might not even be there by the time the contract winds up.
What is Riley going to be 80 and still be President of the Heat? lol
Bill Walsh, Paul Brown, Red Auerbach, Bobby Cox, Jim Leyland, Jerry Buss, Jerry Krause, etc. etc etc. ---- everyone gets old. Everyone starts to lose it at some point.
They just dont inspire the same kind of confidence they used to.--- they dont have time to lay the foundations and do it "the right way" anymore.
no way at 72 does Riley decide to take a step back, conserve cap room after striking out on Hayward, and then take another shot next year. You can see by the moves he has made--- trading away 1st round picks far into the future--- not saving up any cap room etc.
He is getting towards the end and he just doesnt have it like he used to.
as i said--- Pat Riley is a sure fire hall of famer as a coach and front office person....he is an innovator, master motivator, master deal maker, extremely accomplished....
but not anymore. He just doesnst have that IT factor anymore. He doesnt have the ability to flash those rings at that free agent meeting and seal the deal. At some point- everyone starts to lose it...Riley held on for a LONG time--- hes freaking 72! But at this point- the organization would be better off served if Riley stepped aside and took his boat of fishing of Biscayne Bay.

go fuck yourslef
I am not making any convoluted bets with you.
you have no balls
you would never take a simple bet--- the Heat win a playoff series--- it always has to be tied to some bullshit with the Cavs
enjoy your mediocre, capped out team, with no draft assets, no stars, aging/declining team President who doesnt have the ability to bring in any kind of big time player anymore.
If you want to bet me if the Heat win a playoff series--hey im all game
if you want to tie it to the Cavs because you enjoy gargling the Warriors balls- go find someone else. LOL
my original points are all 100% true
(i) a mediocre team in the East. Worst place is to be in the middle- and its exactly where they are--- best case 6th seed, worst case about 10th i would say. A snowballs chance in hell of making it out of the first round.
(ii) no cap room anytime soon- and not one guy on a "steal" contract like a Jae Crowder with the Cavs. A lot of guys on market/above market long-term deals in a league with a cap that is flattening out. Not good. lol.
(iii) easily the worst collection of draft assets in the league. Owe out AT LEAST there next 4 2nd rounders. And still owe 2 first rounders that are VERY lightly protected to the Phoenix Suns for Dragic. (example of how Riley wanted to push the buck to his successor)
(iv) No star power what so ever.
(v) a center who is more interested in his stats than actually winning who is prone to mental lapses.
(vi) a sg who is only happy when he is "the man"- but hes not good enough to be "the man" on any kind of real team.
(vii) extremely weak, in relation to the rest of the East, at the small forward and power forward units. Small forward in particular is really weak.
(viii) a team President working on borrowed time who's lost his touch. No longer able to woo major free agents. Have to settle for 3rd or 4th tier free agents like Kelly Olnyk.
keep gargling those Warrior balls though.
these guys have a lot KD in them.....Wow.

Not just me, he owns all of us, right?
Because all cowards from shitty teams are much better than the rest.
Love the AVI, Slink. Missed you.
I hate this fucking avi.
Two more days.
I don't know anything about any of that. What I do know is that you guys constantly talk about him whether he's here or not. He's so deep in your heads it's hysterical.
Well, as long as Barrett finds a way to score a TD, you'll beat Michigan again this year. That offense is almost as bad as UF's.
