What would it have done to the integrity of the NFL if the public would have
found out for certain that there was cheating going on, and even more damning,
if the Super Bowl would have been significantly influenced by cheating.

Bingo. An NFL "tainted" product = a billion $ industry turning into wrestling. That was not going to happen. Even though I liked wrestling back in the day... It's not a billion $ industry. period

But I will agree that Martz was a bonehead and totally abandoned the run. marshall who? Idiot.

It's almost tantamount to fixing games. If something like that ever got out it would destroy a multi-billion dollar business. And you don't think that the owners are ever going to let that happen do you? It would then be known as the WWF-NFL. I'm not so naïve as to not realize that there are many many things going on behind closed doors that that average fan never hears about.

I'll go to my grave believing that the 2001 Rams were one of the greatest to ever play in the NFL, in spite of Martz and his inflexibility. As I said earlier, you Patriots fans can delude yourselves into thinking that they were better than the Rams if you want, but deep down, when you are all alone and having a fleeting moment of honesty, just know that all the Rams fans, and the rest of the world know the truth. And we know you know it too.

Man.....after reading that, I would be bummed out if I was a Patsy fan !! bwahahahahaha

We probably wont see that dude around here again.....

Do you remember his comment after the Super Bowl when he said he should have thrown the ball MORE, LOL. That was the beginning of the end for Martz in St. Louis. That and the Trung Canidate pick.

The Rams would have carved them up on the ground. Look what they did to the Eagles in the NFC Championship two weeks earlier. And New England was smaller and slower than Philadelphia! The combination of Belicheating and Martz being, well, bull-headed inflexible Martz was too much for any team to overcome.

I remember being in Carolina to watch the Rams play the Panthers that year. Marshall had 150 yards running and 150 yards receiving. Think we won 48-13. You just don't see that by RBs anymore.

Maybe from Jamal Charles or Shady McCoy, but they're the only 2 that can approximate that type of production, and rarely at that.

As a Seahawk fan, it's the one player I DON'T want the Rams to draft. Sure take an OL, take a safety. Whatever. Still no passing threat AT ALL and the running game is still not that big of a deal (yes I know they smacked Seattle hard, but overall not a threat).

Sammy Watkins as a #1 and Austin as a Percy Harvin type? Now I'm concerned. Can't just stack everyone in the box. We'll see. But if the Rams go OL with that #2 pick or trade down and still go OL, I'm giving an automatic F grade.

You don't have a clue what you are talking about. First off, what they were punished for in 2007 was not against the rules when the patriots played the rams. You are allowed to film signals. The only restrictions are from where.

Second, your coach has outright laughed at the premise that the patriots filmed your walk through. He was insulted that anyone thinks the team's security would have allowed that to happen.

They were better. They won. That's all that matters.

Your "unbiased opinion" is all that is.

Do you honestly think any coach would admit that his security was that lax? Besides, we're talking about Mad Mike Martz, who won't even admit he should've run Marshall Faulk more in that game.

If he thought he was cheated, do you honestly think he'd just say "fuck it, I lost"?

Your a Pats fan where you going to come down on this thing right? This comes up every year around Super Bowl time. Even after all these years. So at the very least there is a shadow of a doubt. Or it would have faded years ago. But to say someone doesnt have a clue just because you disagree is well clueless. You guys won. Good for you. Hows it been working out for you lately. Watching the big game at home with the Rams? :suds:

Rationalize all you want JDM Patsy fan. But you're not going to convince anybody here that you won legitimately. Rams fans, and I suspect the majority of NFL fans in general see your victory over the Rams as exactly what it is; a TAINTED, UNDESERVED victory. If I was a Patriots fan I certainly couldn't be happy about it, knowing that my team cheated to win. Belicheck is a good coach, I'll give him that. But he has done more illegal things than anybody in NFL history, and will also go down as the greatest cheater in NFL history as well. Sounds to me like you're still trying to talk yourself into believing that the Pats victory over the Rams was legitimate JDM, or you wouldn't have to spew such inaccurate propaganda that only the uneducated about the situation would be buying.

Wow. Thats some broad brush strokes there my friend. Now me personally I would rather have a red hot poker shoved up my rear sideways than have a discussion with a Pats fan. But I am sure your OK. :suds:

It can be broad. Believing in a cheating conspiracy that the losing coach personally discredited is proof of a lack of intelligence.

Not so stupid really. Now letting the Giants pound the crap out of ya that was stupid. What was it 17 and ...something like that anyway. You wont find any agreement with your theories here.:suds:
