It wasn't even against the rules then.
And filming the signals still isn't.

If thats the case then why didnt the Broncos defend the pass better? They call a lot more pass interference these days than they used to and you can see Peyton's record in the playoffs reflect thatThey didn't play any different than Seattle did this year. They let you play in the Super Bowl...
Choking? Seattle had a much better (and much healthier) teamBecause Denver doesn't have a great defense?
That game was 100% on Peyton choking hardcore. Their defense wasn't even all that terrible. It just never had a shot.
Seattle won the SB because they were a better team that particular day.
The Rams need to draft Watkins because they need to score more points.

I like how the comiss had all of the tapes destroyed, Arlen Spector at the time was pissed off over this. Probably good that the public never saw these because there was more to it than people realize.
What would it have done to the integrity of the NFL if the public would have found out for certain that there was cheating going on, and even more damning, if the Super Bowl would have been significantly influenced by cheating. It's almost tantamount to fixing games. If something like that ever got out it would destroy a multi-billion dollar business. And you don't think that the owners are ever going to let that happen do you? It would then be known as the WWF-NFL. I'm not so naïve as to not realize that there are many many things going on behind closed doors that that average fan never hears about.
I'll go to my grave believing that the 2001 Rams were one of the greatest to ever play in the NFL, in spite of Martz and his inflexibility. As I said earlier, you Patriots fans can delude yourselves into thinking that they were better than the Rams if you want, but deep down, when you are all alone and having a fleeting moment of honesty, just know that all the Rams fans, and the rest of the world know the truth. And we know you know it too.
Yep, that's an excellent point Zeke. My first choice is to experience a Rams victory. But my close second choices are to see the Patriots and Eagles make asses of themselves. I'd root for the Russians if they were playing these teams.
