How long can Peterson defy Father Time? Age 31 and almost 2400 carries; the decline will come.

Emmitt had 4400.

Peterson has traditionally been an outlier, physically.

Curtis Martin - 3500
Tomlinson - 3200
Barry, Marcus Allen, Dickerson - 3000

I don't think any of them had the benefit of getting a year off of getting hit either.

Vikings won the north on the last game of the season in Rodgers worst year since his first year. In other words the Vikings best season in recent memory won the division by one game over the Packers during their worst season in recent memory. Minus the one when Rodgers broke his collar bone.

It all hinges on Teddy. This is year 3 so he needs to take bigger steps to keep Minny on par with GB.

Unless Bridgewater grows by leaps and bounds early this season, I still think there's a pretty decent gap between the Vikings and the top dogs in the NFC. You can say they nearly beat Seattle in the playoffs, and that would be true, but they also had them at home for 8 quarters and couldn't score a single touchdown the whole time. You could also say the only reason that playoff game was close was because the weather made it a completely different type of game that you cannot count on having again when you play the top teams. Bridgewater is going to have to develop into an effective down field (at least mid range) passer before AP is no longer able to carry the offense.

Because everyone from the media loves the Packers and they are a huge fanbase.

Aaron Rodgers could break his hip slipping on a fucking banana peel and they'd still pick the Packers.

Hard to say, I like them though and think it's going to between them and the Packers for the North all season.

It should be a battle till the end. The defenses were very close in numbers last year despite what anyone says. Stats prove it. It will come down to the offense which GB has the edge.

If he takes the step I think he can, we'll be solid

Bridgewater will never be rodgers, but he can be in the Hasselbeck in his prime category...or Andy Dalton type, hopefully wiht more playoff success

Yeah Bridgwater showed some signs in the playoffs, those were BRUTAL conditions and he did respectable ... That was a brutal day for all involved ...

One of the easiest schedules in the league combined with Rodgers doing what he does... Wow. Watch out....

Seriously.

The Vikings arrow is pointing up. They got better all year.

Lots of good young defensive players and a great defensive coach in Minnesota. As they and their chemistry grows, that defense will become one of the best in the NFL
