I just saw him the other day too. Apparently NU hasn't offered him yet. He's a big kid.
A 5 sec 40 is good. They don't say anything about his smarts, work ethic,or footwork.
Being homegrown he'll likely be N if offered.

6'9" is not too tall, and he is probably only 6'8" anyways. Kind of how Germaine Gresham was 6'7"....he's ALMOST 6'6".

Just in the NFL, Jared Gaither and Dennis Roland are 6'9", McKinnie and Loadholt are on the same line and are both 6'8", just to name a few.

Big thing for him is weight, he is a little small yet at 265. All the guys I listed, or any other guy you find that tall, is around 300 pounds.

6'9" is really tall for a lineman. that doesn't mean he can't do it or won't be good.

Also, we might not have room for him, we already have 4 lineman and bigger fish on our board.

And he might go for basketball.

OR...like I said...he is probably shorter than listed, but he still could be groomed into a defensive lineman. Tall lineman are always a plus, especically in a contain defense, where the pressure is usually coming from linebackers or corners, and he can just help press the pocket and swat down passes.

I haven't seen anything about being recruited for basketball...he is listed in the b-ball database...but all info on him points football from what I see...unless I missed something.

Can you imagine a 6'9 guy lining up on Special Teams to block kicks?? Just stick that long arm up in the air! Better yet, just stand straight up and you might block the kick with your helmet.
