This is a way to get viewers back…

The NHL has fighting.

What matters for ratings in this lemmingified twatter culture is appealling to the lowest common fan that's just happy to be a part of something and combining them with corporate products.

You can thank Philadelphia for the Christmas ratings.

Makes sense, since the Lakers/Warriors game was the most watched of the day.

Watching Boston lose is always appreciated though.

NFL blowouts probably spurred some channel changing too.

In my opinion I feel like the players have communicated to us by sitting out games not doing back to back or playing through an injury is that the regular season does not matter. I think the players are shifting into preparing for the playoffs there is no need to overexert yourself trying to be the number 1 seed as they do not see it as that valuable.

You guys do realize that in most cases it isn’t the players choosing to sit out right?

Organizations rest players because it is best for the team to do this.

Players, coaches, organizations, whatever is the case the overall notion is that we are saving ourselves for the playoffs.

Then, of course, you have Joel Embiid announcing publicly that he's not playing back to backs.

I did say most cases.

But I also have to think that was a decision he made with the team, and with their full blessing.

Hell, Eagle nut was on here saying he would rest Embiid for months of the season.

Just because Embiid said it and agrees with it doesn’t mean it was his decision. Guessing that one is mutual.

If you know the history of seeding and who wins the championship this is about the stupidest thing one could state.

I guess you are right, that is an even stupide question. Congratulations, you topped the charts of stupid, and that is somewhat of a feat with some of the posters here.
