Artificial? You mean that having the 3 pointer line shorter in the corners isn’t artificial. I don’t long for the 90s slugfests, but the balance away from defense has swung too far. Too many games are just horse from the 3 point line.

Why should it be the same value for a shot that is 2 feet shorter, that is what I mean by cheating. It should be the same distance for the same added value of 50%. Why should it be easier from the corner. It would not be weird to just have it end at the sideline where the distance ends; it’s fair.

Has anyone actually discussed making the court wider? That is actually a really good idea.
League made it hard to play post defense, you almost don’t need a center anymore … No hand checking, which is basically just a feeler while playing defense, guys got called if it was a hold … I think recently though it’s been a little better being able to challenge calls, it’s making the refs look stupid when they call these cheesy fouls, so it’s holding them more accountable … NFL needs to do the same, allows challenges on penalties, just give teams only so many a game, it won’t slow play that much, but could eliminate some terrible calls that can decide games ….
Problem is that’s really hard to adjust 30 stadiums and change courtside seating. Much easier to let the 3 point arc extend to the sideline instead of bending and going to the end line. Less drastic too
I agree but I think everyone would adapt very quickly.
Courtside seating is not going to be adjusted. I mean they have about moved the players to the locker room as it is.

Plus, there are literally rule changes every off season; there is even a committee for it and everything.
