I don't think ultimatum is the right word, I could see Bo getting all sort's of butt hurt if given an ultimatum. I could see him becoming very belligerent under that circumstance.

Personally, I think they sat down and expectations were put on the table. Bo could make whatever changes if any he deemed necessary to meet those expectations with the full support of the administration. I think Bo's loyalty got in the way of said expectations. IMO

Maybe he didn't use the term ultimatum but in the sense just making the CCG would have shown some improvement from where we were at this time last season, sitting here watching other teams play again. Pure conjecture and pointless now but the players did say it all made sense now after they met with Bo

There was a rumor that Bo Pelini went to some of the members of the Board of Regents trying to get their support. Bo told them that he felt he was not getting support from Perlman and Eichorst and he was trying to get the members of the BoR that he knew of on his side. This probably had something to do with the conditions for him to stay employed.

My source told me this earlier in the year but I never said anything about.

No idea if it is true. I never pressed the issue to learn more because it did not matter to me as I was hoping Bo would be forced to get either better coordinators or told to go. I also expected that the next coach would be an upgrade(but I feel I am almost alone in that thought.)

I also have another rumor about Lincoln's favorite pron star. She has her clothes completely on in this rumor.
