I actually think Belt fits the Yanks well... But I doubt Belt gets much back for the Giants... Metrics are great and all, but his results and injury prone-ness is sub par for a first baseman... I would want him, but I wouldn't really be willing to spend too much for him in trade...
He doesn't really have a bad injury history. He has a few freak accidents that has cost him time, but nothing that indicated fragility. Most notably, be was hit in the head by a thrown ball between innings when two players threw balls to first at the same time. I think that was in '14, because it was Scutaro who threw the ball that hit him. It happened to be one of Scoots' only games that year.

Is there interest in Pence? I think the org would be extactic to be able to move him at this point.

Cant imagine he would bring anything back at this stage

He also has a full no-trade and he loves living in the city. I don't think he is playing near well enough to make a team do what would be needed to get him to wave it.

He will be a Giant throughout his contract.

As a diehard Cubs fan, I know we need a starting pitcher and I would love Gerritt Cole or Sonny Gray for the rotation!!!!

Um...

Ok...

The Giants also have some ocean front property in AZ for ya. What are you willing to send to the Giants in return?

Belt can go to a team like the Yankees and probably hit 30 wall scrapers over that right porch.

I'm kind of torn.

On one hand, if Freddie Freeman can come back and play third like he wants to, the Braves' lineup will be extremely deadly. On the other hand, Matt Adams is the perfect hitter for Yankee Stadium, and I think the Braves could get a real nice haul for him.

Yanks just realeased Chris Carter so they really do need a first baseman right now.

Yes, Adams has been hot af since the trade, but would the Yanks prefer Adams to Belt? Belt has the defense and the AT&Tfactor to his numbers while Adams has the actual, demonstrated production and the smaller contract.

I would assume Belt would cost considerably more to acquire as well, prospect-wise...
