My preference is that they stay out of LA.

There is a reason both the Rams and Raiders left there to begin with.

I know, I know, i shouldn't even post in this thread if I don't care, but honestly, I find myself not really caring.

I used to get all bent out of shape about franchises leaving cities and fanbases just because team owner Richie McMoneybags didn't want to finance his own stadium. It still irritates me that billionaires cry poverty when it comes time to build a new arena, but this is just how the world works. I'm much more cynical now than I used to be, so i accept it.

For sentimental reasons, I guess I would prefer the Rams should move back. That way, that Simpsons episode where God asks Homer "Does St. Louis still have a football team?" would make sense again.

And what is that reason?

The Rams left the Los Angeles Coliseum because they had a hard time selling out the game (+90,000) the required 72 hours before the game, so the owner moved them to Anaheim. After that I don't know what happened.

I think if the Chargers win maybe between SD and LA they could fill a stadium.

They's plenty-a-people out there, it's just that most of them could walk to the stadium faster than they could drive.

I'd say the Chargers have remnants of a fanbase in Southern California, too, considering they are in Southern California.

Face it homie, St. Louis is a baseball town. Y'all should actually take up a collection to send the Rammies back to SoCal. You got your Superbowl...

People that aren't here tend to think that it's easy to get from SD to LA. It's not. With traffic it could take 3 hours or more, and on Sunday afternoon, after a game, forget it.

An informal poll on a local radio station showed that more than 90% of fans that attend games now would not go to LA. If the Chargers go to LA, they better have a really impressive marketing campaign at the ready. Rams and Raiders have far more fans in LA than the Chargers do.

One season several years ago the Chargers decided to move training camp to Carson, thinking they would grow their fanbase. In San Diego they'd typically get a few thousand fans. In Carson they drew about 2 dozen. That experiment ended quickly.

Eh, the stadium proposal is a boondoggle for the state of Missouri and I hate the owner and I hate Jeff Fisher. There is nothing wrong with the Edward Jones Dome. The Rams were built to win last year and didn't. My gf is a Chiefs fan.

I'll live. The team I want doesn't exist anyways and has been going the wrong direction for awhile.

I'd say that's a pretty damn good description of the fanbase here the past 50+ years.

Yep, I get it...that's why I said it'd be quicker for most people to walk to the stadium.

LA would be the perfect city for an extensive mass-transit system but people be lovin they cars too much

To be fair - If the Chargers had good Ownership over the years... they'd fill the stands. They've been a train wreck for far too long. It's almost like a home game for us when the Pats come to town. 40%+ Pats fans in the seats the past few years.
