The way I see it the media has been jumping from one player to the next after each of them laid an egg. First it was Bridgewater, then Hundley, Boyd and now Winston while during this entire season the only guy who has been a constant in this discussion has been Johnny football. Winston's team has not really played anybody since Miami has lost 2 straight and Clemson will probably lose its last game versus South Carolina giving them 2 losses and knocking them out of the top 10. Florida State does not seem dependent on Winston putting up big numbers in order for them to win but Texas A&M can lose even with a career game by Johnny. Bottom line is Winston has not laid an egg and Johnny wont.

Its between winston and manziel. I would give edge to winston though. I will say this though i dont think aj mccarron deserves to win but i think he at least deserves to go to new york for the ceremony

Winston, McCarron, Petty, Johnny Screechface.

Winston's team will probably remain undefeated, he has impressive numbers, and he has an intangible...charisma. He is very marketable.

McCarron, even though he's First Mate of the dreadnaught...his statistics and Q.E.R. aren't up to snuff with the other candidates.

Petty statistically is the best of the 4. But he does play for Baylor. Next.

Johnny...oh Johnny Johnny Johnny. You could have been the first since Archie to have won back-to-back Heismans. But you shit in your mess kit you greedy little rat-faced Gypsy bastard. Fitting.

Winston with McCarron a very close second.

For the love of god - johnnyhollywood has thrown 11 ints. 11. He's only played 9 1/2 games, and lost 2 of them.

If 2-3 losses, and roughly 14-15 ints is your Heisman ---- Ok, I guess.

McCarron should get some kind of lifetime achievement award if he wins a third championship. Not a Heisman though. Probably wins the Unitas though.

You Texas guys sure hate Manziel. That said, his conduct will probably knock him out; not his ability. Without Manziel, TAM is no where near competitive as FSU would be without Winston. Given the way Winston has played and his excellent leadership regarding his team mates, I believe Winston is the better candidate with Manziel 2nd and McCarran 3rd. Chances are, Mariota will be third and I'm OK with that as well. The Pros still love Bridgewater and IMO, Winston and/or Mariota will get picked 2nd.

Give it to Winston. Let ESPiN and the media drag another player and university through the mud this off season.

Manziel is one fine quarterback and team leader. That said, he should have known that he would be under a microscope this off season. I saw no disrespect given TAM; just Manziel which, IMO, was deserved. We all get it; he's just a kid and we make allowances for that. Someone in an adult leadership position should have given him some excellent advice before the problems began. He is still a great quarterback and I hope the Dolphins get him. I think he's a game changer and will continue that in the pros.

Why is Mariota not in this conversation? Statistically he did just fine vs Stanford. 250 yards and 2 TDs, man still has 0 INts this year.

Yea but he fumbled a couple of times and he didnt show the intangibles and leadership to bring his team back to victory.that plays a big part in some voters minds

Personally I think Jordan Lynch should get it since they were actually talking about Bridgewater winning it and they wont play anyone all year. Jordan has 1800 pass yards and almost 1200 rushing with over 300 of them coming in one game plus they are undefeated.

with a hurt knee the dude came in and brought the team back on the verge of a major comeback bringing the game to 26-20. Those final couple drives were all on Mariota.

He shouldnt even be top five. And he's certainly not a passer worth the number one pick.

My guess is Winston. The media is in their "build him up" stage just so they can tear him down later.
