I mean, I know its Norfolk State, but losing to a D3 school is horrible.

11/14 recap

Before I move forward, a brief look at the Champions Classic.

For Duke vs. Michigan State, it was a great performance by Grayson Allen as the Blue Devils pull away late. As for Kansas vs. Kentucky, :tsk: So close ONCE AGAIN for Callpari, but Kansas beats him again.

Oh, and here's what else happened yesterday:

Purdue over Marquette 86-71
Florida State over George Washington 87-67 (FSU finally joins us this season!)
UConn over Stony Brook 72-64 (OK... Things ALREADY look better for UConn this season than it did last season.)
Liberty over Wake Forest 79-66 (It's Liberty's first non-conference win on the road in almost 5 years! ...And ACC fans are not pleased. Neither is Georgia Southern.)
Utah Valley over Idaho State 84-71 (Utah Valley's 3rd straight road game... and they actually win it this time.)
Eastern Washington upsets Stanford 67-61 (Whoopsie)

Wednesday, November 15th

A little warning: Starting tomorrow, the holiday tournaments get under way. So if you're traveling to any of those events, good luck! Oh, and let's hope that the Maui Invitational goes as well as the organizers hope it will.
Before that, however, let's look at what's on tap for today: (All times are Eastern)

Indiana @ Seton Hall (6:30)
Montana @ Penn State (7:00)
Niagara @ Minnesota (8:00)
Butler @ Maryland (8:30)
Game of the Day: Creighton @ Northwestern (9:00)

South Dakota @ TCU (9:00)

Hmmm... Looks like most everyone had already left for the tournaments. Oh well, Creighton @ Northwestern still looks pretty good!

11/15 recap

Before we begin, I need to rant a little bit about this whole "PK80" tournament.
Look, I get it. Phil Knight and his shoe company is now imbedded within the culture of basketball, so if you want to do something to honor his legacy, then fine. Making an 8-team CBB tournament, fine. But 2 of them?! At the same time? That's just too freaking confusing for me.

OK... I just had to get that off my chest, so I can focus on yesterday's action:

Seton Hall over Indiana 84-68
Creighton over Northwestern 92-88 (Ah, I'm not gonna call this one an upset.)
UCLA over Central Arkansas 106-101 in OT
Manhattan over St. Francis (PA) 80-79 in OT
UTSA over Texas State 79-78
Maryland over Butler 79-65

His mom said he is everything is fine.....sounds minor still. Hip thing we think. I think he should be back by Orlando next week

I hope he is ok. I hate any and all injuries to any of these kids.
