the fact Juedy had zero TDs last year is concerning even with Lock as QB

maybe Shurmur was the issue or maybe it is want to by Jerry or both.

this is a make it break it year for JJ

I think Jeudy could repeat his numbers last year and still finish his contract.

I see Sutton catching the deep strike td's, Jeudy making the long run tds/moving the chains, and the bulk of our td's coming from te's and rb's.

Time for Juedy to put up or sit down. There are plenty of reasons to suggest he's ready to excel but he needs to prove it over time.
#10 pick. he may be a JAG but that’s on Elway. he dropped an easy slant pass on his first route the other day that tells me he wasn’t ready . maybe a bit lazy

wonder how Paton had the WRs ranked in 2020 as he was in the room that drafted maybe the best WR

Reading an article earlier and Jalen Raegor, the WR taken right before him, is fighting to even just make the roster right now. I'll be honest I was a decent Raegor fan back in 2020, but Vikings definitely nailed it having Jefferson as their top guy. Sometimes it pays to be lucky.

If Paton is this lucky I hope he's never good.

I guess I should say it is a nice mixture of luck and skill. Obviously they did the scouting to make them believe that Jefferson was going to be great in this league. The luck of him making it to their pick obviously plays into it as they didn't think he would be there.

Paton so far has impressed me and is making me a believer that he is the long-term solution in Denver. Heck look at the Wilson trade. Had to trade away some decent players in Fant and Harris. Goes and drafts Dulcich and re-signs a couple of TE's that have looked good so far in training camp like Saubert. Then signs DJ Jones to replace Harris and honestly I think he is an upgrade over Harris. The picks hurt to lose for sure, but if you don't have a franchise QB those picks mean nothing.

The holes created or left unfilled from that trade are offset significantly by the player we received.

We just have to stay healthy, like every team says.

Concerning yes. But when you factor the QB situation and he missed what? 6 games?

New year, new QB and hopefully good health my friend.

kansas city the same way with mahomes

drafting is both art and science. KC targeted Mahomes which is an art in evaluating QBs but also very lucky someone wanted to trade back all the way to mid 20s. BUF was in transition that year and New Orleans was primed to select Pat at 11

also sometimes other GMs make your luck for you. had Jerry Jones jumped up to draft Paxton maybe it forces Denver to draft Dak.

Did you know Jalen Reagor is former Broncos DE Monte Reagor's kid?

The weird thing is that Monte finished his career in Philadelphia and it is possible his son was drafted by Philadelphia and finish his career in Denver... possible... :)

Yes-

Monte is also on the Eagles coaching staff.

I had made a post two years ago during the draft for Jalen's draft class all the former Broncos players that had kids in the draft or relatives. There were several. I will forget a few but they included

Jeremy Chinn- Steve Atwater's nephew
Luke Juriga- Jim's son
Jalen Reagor- Monte's son
Cole Habib- Brian's son

There were like 3 others I would have to think a bit more on it.

I was about to post Isaiah Oliver (Muhammad's son but that was a year before)
