Yeah, Leaf bombed in the NFL.........so what? Remember, there was real discussion whether or not Leaf would be drafted ahead of Payton Manning. Meaning what Leaf had done to that point, in college, was equivalent to Manning. Which that year Leaf won awards for Pac-10 offensive player of the year, best collegiate passer of the year, and first team all-American. Not exactly the slouch you imply him to be (in college at least, which is kinda the point).

I wasn't implying anything about college Ryan Leaf. I thought they both played Washington (Nebraska played Washington at the beginning of the season) and would have given another mutual opponent. But my fried brain was wrong.

Last year I did a 25 mile backpacking trip in 2.5 days, completely out of shape, and nearly killed myself (slight exaggeration but I did nearly collapse, mainly due to not eating enough, and depending where I was on the trail could have seriously injured myself). This year I'm doing a 46 mile trip in 3.5 days in september and want to make sure I'm not the weak link.
