make the playoffs , who don't and why ?.....I'm a bit of a homer but I'm about in the middle on this one....
If the team that laid down in that NE game shows up, it's a resounding NO.....
But after the tradition of rebounding as the Ravens normally do after one like that, and being the underdog with odds against them, they usually show up big......We know the Bengals really well and match up well, so if we lay it all on the line, this team is capable of winning in Cincy no matter what their home record is....We beat them earlier this year with no Pitta, may as well of been no Rice, hit and miss Dixon and an Oline that couldn't block Fred Sanford and Aunt Esther.....Play up to par and we win and get the 6 seed because Miami is gonna lose to the Rex O lator......Thoughts !!!

Nightly news? Sure. Sports press? Please. McNabb was the King of Choke, but God forbid anyone said it. Cam doesn't play that we'll in some Panthers wins, and what do we hear? He's leadership guided the way. Warren Moon slaps his wife, no big deal. Kirby Puckett does the same, but sometimes you have to smack a wife, so wutevs.

Certain teams players get more attention for anything under the sun, but if so say its across the board, I say you're kidding yourself.

Finally, Marvin doesn't get heat nationally whether we disagree about the reason or not, and it's laughable. Coaches with 2-3 seasons under their belt ate sweating bullets, but Marvin sits there with mediocre football teams, and nobody waves a b.s. flag on a national level, not even after all this time.

I don't think they'll make it for 4 reasons.

1.I wouldn't trust the Jets to beat the Dolphins on Sunday.
2.The Chiefs aren't going to play a number of their starters against the Chargers.
3.The Ravens can't seem to run the football.
4.Andy Dalton has been on fire of late. The Bengals offense is kicking ass.

The most certain thing this weekend, IMO - is that the Bengals will beat the Ravens at home. 2nd most certain is that the Chargers (who already best Chiefs starters @ KC) will beat KC backups at home.

Baltimore is OUT. Only remaining question is if the Jets will show up for the Gipper.

That has been an amazement to me also why he has had a pass, when Marty Shottenheimer went 15-1 but lost in the 1st round for the 2nd time and was immediately fired and never got another job.
But Marvin has had more 8-8 seasons than anything else in his HC career with only 3 playoffs and lost 1st round in all 3, but still is not on the hot seat......Makes you wonder !!

All we need is to win and either Miami or SD lose and we're in.
If those 2 and Pitt loses, we could lose and still get the 6th seed....

You're just being facetious , but we well know that Caldwell should be calling plays for a sandlot team and we fully expect him to be gone at the end of the season by Biscuit's command....Harbs won't fire anybody unless ordered to.....They tried a new oline blocking scheme and put a dummy in as OC and neither worked.....
I'm from the school of, if it ain't broke, don't fix it !!

Copious argument has been made for the expansion of "meat on a stick" options for some time now. You may be on to something.
