The Raiders are dumping a player who was going to leave at the end of the season. They save $11M+ in cash and gain a pick. In a dead season that's a win. The Jets? I don't get it. They haven't used all their attainable cash and future picks to go all-in and they haven't got much of a QB window. Added to that they're 2-4.
I get it for the Raiders.

The next 5 for the Jets is not too tough though.

Adams is the only friend Rodgers has. Unless you want to call his kiss up McAfee a friend.

The next 5 for the Jets is not too tough though.

Jets are 2-4

1. @ Steelers 4-2

2. @ Patriots 1-5

3. Texans 5-1

4. @ Cardinals 2-4

5. Colts 3-3

Jets will be lucky if they get through this 2-3.

The Steelers will be starting a rusty RW behind a not very good OL and we all know he holds onto the ball too long, resulting in bad sacks.

The Pats are awful. You know this.

The Texans game is the one guaranteed loss.

The Cards are inconsistent.

And the Colts have Flacco but they also have a bottom 5 defense.

3-2 is probably likely but they could go 4-1 if the running game continues to play well.....they got untracked last night and Adams fits in seamlessly with Rodgers. The Jets defense is pretty good.

They have lost 3 games by 10points and are 2 FG's away from being 4-2.

The offense looked a lot better with Downing and they added Adams?

Don't sleep on the Jets.

I guess the Jets are back to being contenders according to sports media. Even though they weren't a contender in the first place.

Can't win for losing.

At least he wasn't under the desk...well, probably not...
He popped in awfully oddly though. Rodgers was smirking long before Adams showed up

No guaranteed money after this season. That is the important part.

Sure, but that means they're trading a 2nd or 3rd rounder for a rental or will be forced to restructure that contract to retain him.

Yep, Rodgers still had Adams convinced he was worth teaming up with again.

All of us here pretty much surmised he was done and now we know for sure and so does the rest of the world.

Rodgers should now spend the rest of his days doing his wacky, off the wall shenanigans (hopefully off the radar) and continue his lifelong pursuit of pretending he enjoys the company of women.

Meh, Rodgers injury was pretty devastating. I think if he comes back and plays for a team like the Vikings (Favre joke), then he could have a good year. Probably not MVP worthy, but he could be one of the better QBs in the league. Top 10 maybe.

I admit I am biased with my hatred towards him but I think he’s fallen off too much personally.

Then again you do have a point, with some of the QB’s teams have throwing out there, he could be a slight improvement, I don’t doubt his ability to still throw the ball, just his rapport with an organization and his teammates.

Yeah, people hate him. I don’t really mind the guy and I have all the reason in the world to hate him as a bears fan. He’s a little out there, but it’s not like he’s calling for violence or anything.

Gonna be interesting to see what happens with Rodgers this year.

His void years are huge, but not unmanageable.

1736017082356.png

So that's $63M in a cap hit for 2026 (if they resign, and that's not happening, not for a 43 year old QB, as good as Rodgers is)... now it made sense because the Jets were 'all in' but it doesn't anymore because the Jets are underperforming.. I would assume the Jets will play big for a QB and just release Rodgers in 2026 and just suck for a year lol. Pretty obvious what will happen. Adams will be another goner.

They may just bail from Rodgers and go for an Arch Manning push in 2026.

TLDR: The Jets are going to suck ass for the foreseeable future.
