I honestly don't think it is that big of a step up and it is a completely different life style.

But it doesn't matter it won't happen and I will be shocked if he even gets a call.

I would be surprised also. I threw it out to rile it up a bit. I do think USC and TExas should look at him though. I think Greg Roman would be an interesting hire.

I don't think they should hire someone that went there or played for USC. I think it Sumlin would be a great fit.

Jimbo Fisher, Greg Roman

Why does everyone seem to bring up Jimbo for any vacancy? He is not leaving FSU. In fact he just asked for ANOTHER extension this year to guarantee him being here longer. He did not leave for an SEC schools he is definitely not going to USC.

Mike Tomlin gets the hell out of Pittsburgh after this season. Put this in the surprise hire, are you high category.

USC will hire every coach on the list, just to make sure they get the right one, and they will have a season long episode of the bachelor, dismissing one coach at a time from the team bus until they finally decide on one.

I could see Jimbo going to Texas especially if he likes the new AD they hire. That would actually be a nice fit for both.

Sumlin can't do anything without a stud quarterback making every play for him or win with his own players

FIFY.........Sumlin has never taken over a program that he had to build from the ground up. Briles and Sherman left the cupboard full of talent. Also, Sumlin has never recruited his own QB to run his system. Still, I think USC will drink the Kool Aid and go after him.....

I'll be sending them an e-mail and recommending Gary Kubiak.

1. He asked for more money, so?
2. He did not leave for UK or Auburn, does that prove something?

No offense to either job, but those are not USC. All SEC jobs at not equal.

I think Del Rio is a good fit, he is a very respected Assistant in the NFL and has had some really great defenses, He fits the USC look as a HC, he is smart and can put together a top staff quickly, he would be able to recruit no matter what since its USC and he knows college as well as Pro sets. He may be a long shot since they cant talk to him right away, but he is who i would go after if I was Haden.

Vegas has him as the leading candidate at 3 to 1. Reports came out that he flew into LAX and is currently in L.A. He could end up being the guy.

Such a mistake. USC is a legit job. They hold do a legit search. This seems like a complete rush job if true

Agree they need to go with a proven college head coach and recruiter period.

I don't think they'd hire him right away without doing their due diligence and considering all of their options, but it is interesting.
