I really don't care who is starting at the beginning of the season,
I just want them to lose game #2 against the Patriots.

Pickett. He's probably their best QB. He was drafted in the 1st, he's going to be their QBs for at least the next several years. Best thing for a young QB is to get experience. Let him start.

Rookie QBs ( that are first round picks) no longer sit on the bench for a year soaking up things by watching, they get thrown in the fire. You learn best by doing not watching and with the advantage of a rookie contract wasting a year just isn’t what teams normally do. Pickens has look good in preseason, the fans want him to start. He will be starting game one.

I did not say Tribs would start the whole year, but I doubt Pickett starts day one

Definitely Trubisky. I think the Steelers will be knocking on the door of a playoff spot and I believe Trubisky will be a big reason why. He ended up not worth a damn in Chicago because...well, it's Chicago. Nobody knows who's ruining...I mean running the show there. Backed up Allen in Buffalo. In Pittsburgh, he's now part of a professional organization (unlike Chicago) with an opportunity to start and I think he'll do well.

If the league thought Chicago ruined him then he wouldn't have sat on a bench for a year. Imo

Seems strange folks opinion have changed. While he played in Chicago most thought he was terrIble. Last year he attempted 8 passes for the entire season, now folks think he should be Steelers starter? Why? What has Trubs accomplished to deserve a becoming a NFL starter? Was it those 8 passes last year? Has some of Allen abilities rubbed onto Trubs?

I think everyone was curious how he would do if he wasnt stuck in Chicago's mess. Now they have a chance to see it.
Curiosity killed the cat kinda thing.

I say you start Trubisky over Rudolph - but Pickett will eventually see playing time no matter what. Trubisky is injury prone & has never played a full season. Rudolph is a backup plays hot or cold.

That o-line is god awful, we know Rudolph has happy feet, so you start Trubisky vs ruining Pickett.

Fair enough. I did not watch a lot of Bears games with Trubisky, but did tune in to maybe 4-5. In those games, I saw him throw some pretty accurate throws that were dropped by receivers. Steelers always seem to have above average receivers on their team, so that’s my reasoning. He could surprise this year, and deserves a second chance on a better team, IMO.

Trubs gets the first couple but with a short leash. If he doesn't play well Pickett will get the nod in short order. It might even be a Kurt Warner/ Eli Manning situation where even though the Giants were 5-4 and Warner wasn't playing badly the team drafted a QB for a reason and needed to get him in there.

Those are some horrible choices! I bet they wish they would have signed Andy Dalton. But i say they should lure Ryan Fitzpatrick out of retirement, sign him and start the development process..

Yes, he made 3 good throws in a row, but all of them were to his primary or 1st read....just saying
