Yes, he made 3 good throws in a row, but all of them were to his primary or 1st read....just saying
Oh totally. That pass to Friermuth he didn’t even see the WR wide open.

I actually want trubs to do well for @noonthirtyjoe also. No one gave him
More crap than me. Now im trubs biggest fan
Nothing you said bothered me. The whole world thought Trubs (truth biscuit) was the problem. I knew it was our coach. Now Trubs was not worth the second pick in the draft but he is a decent starter. I think he will prove it with a good staff and team around him.

Glad you're back...as I knew you would be, just didn't know when
Glad to be back and looking forward to this season. Were not a threat and won't be this year. But soon I think. I like this new staff and it's been a long time since I felt good about our future.

Hey, I was always in the “it’s the Bears that suck not Mitch” camp.

Still am.

Feel sorry for Fields tbh. But I’d rather have Mitch fwiw.

Fields will be fine now. The new staff has redone his footwork and worked the offense to fit him. It will take time to build up the weapons around him tho. Won't be this year but he will improve much this season. Fields over Mitch for me. And I love Mitch.

I agree here. I was very high on fields. I think fields has the potential to be something special.

Age is fairly inconsequential to me. Average career for an NFL starting QB is around 4 years... Coinciding with a rookie contract., and a 1st RD QB 'bust rate' hovering around 60%.

They can sit him 1 year, and still get 4 years out of him with a 5th year option. Which again is the average rate. Not to mention the good ones aren't retiring in their early 30's no more.

I'd prefer to start Trubs. I'd much rather see Trubisky in there while the OL figures its shit out. Let Kenny play hero if things go south. But that said... I'd still be pumped to see Kenny start

What about flipping Trubs and a 5th or 6th rounder for Jimmy G for 1 year? He might play just 10-11 games but he gives you an upgrade from Trubs and Pickett can start the games he misses and get some PT.

SF gets a solid back to Lance for the next few seasons (in case he gets hurt) and a pick.

Upgrade? Just because he was overpaid doesn't mean he is an upgrade. I'd rather keep the more inexpensive option.

I think you start Trubisky and see what he can do, and I agree that he is on a short leash. I'd skip Rudolph and go straight to Pickett and get him some NFL experience.

They make about the same now that Jimmy's contract was restructured.

Except, for the bonuses.....but the max he could make is like 16 mill if he hits all the incentives.

That makes Trubs the more inexpensive option. And Trubs is healthy, and younger.

Restructuring Jimmy will make him easier to move though. Wouldn't be surprised to see him traded now.
