My tops would probably be 2002 Miami, 1983 Nebraska, 2005 USC, 1982 Nebraska... probably in that order.

I dont think 02 Miami was even the best team in CFB at the end of the year. 02 USC was. Id probably vote for 1994 Penn State team. That team was fucking stacked.

02 USC was so much better than 05 USC. But USC did have 2 losses, even though they were both on the road to Top 10 teams.

Lets not forget 02 Georgia either. IMO 2002 was the one year in which 4 teams can honestly say they were the best.

That team needed a miracle (and an illegal one at that) to top Notre Dame. Their defense was blitzed by Fresno State. And most of that "raw talent" that made them so "unbeatable" has flopped in the NFL.

CONTROVERSIAL OPINION ALERT: They weren't even the second best team that year. Ohio State was.

When Colt went out and with no real leader to lead the team; a freshman QB stepped up in the second half and almost came back for the win against a very good Bama team but it wasnt meant to be and they lost and Bama won...

Yea 1966 we was the only undefeated and untied team yet they let Notre Dame and Michigan State have and they tied each other.People say we claim national champs we shouldnt but IMO we claim some we shouldnt but there are also a lot we should have but we dont. So it kinda evens out at 15
