Yes RBs last 5-7 years. Thats the bad thing about drafting RBs. They dont last long.
on occasions they do.
Dallas sure was stupid to draft Elliott at 4

Lots of guys dance in the hole when the hole isn't 3 yards wide. Murray has done a lot more dancing the last 2 years too lolMcCoy dances in the hole...my God do you people watch football before you throw out your red hot sports opinions? This running game requires patience at times for the hole to develop but requires a burst to the second level. Shady McCoy in the Dallas rushing attack? No thanks
watch a cowboy game and get back to meLots of guys dance in the hole when the hole isn't 3 yards wide. Murray has done a lot more dancing the last 2 years too lol
To lesser extent this is the old Smith vs Sanders debate except this time we've had the unique opportunity to see what Smith ( Murray ) would do behind a different line and the answer is not too damn much. I'm sure Zeke is good but I've seen what McCoy can do with bad to average lines so I'll take that all day every day
I wouldnt say stupid but you have a short window with him. Like I said most last only 5-7 years. Thats the risk of RBs. Do you take Ramsey who can give you 7-12 years at CB or a RB for 5-7 years. That was a tough call for Dallas. They picked the RB.on occasions they do.

Murray is a beast.Eagles fans were telling us their line was better at run blocking when McCoy was there. I'd say Murray is doing just fine behind the Tennessee line, isn't he the 2nd leading rusher in the NFL right now?
No playing a bad QB was a big reason for 4-12. McFadden proved my point about the Oline. Big advantage for a rookie RB having an Oline like that. What Murray is doing in Tenn is more impressive to me.yep...and that 4-12 team stayed true to their rushing game in order to keep games close.
65 yards a game isn't that hard if your team is committed to running the football.
opinions vary...you've stated yours and I couldn't disagree moreNo playing a bad QB was a big reason for 4-12. McFadden proved my point about the Oline. Big advantage for a rookie RB having an Oline like that. What Murray is doing in Tenn is more impressive to me.
agree to disagree thats cool. Look I know u know more about Dallas because u are a fan but from looking from the outside u take this year and last year and u can see the QB play has been a big improvement from last year. Dallas had a decent running game. McFadden was a 1000 yard rusher. So in my eyes I see Dak being the biggest difference maker. Now dont get me wrong Oline has been Dallas #1 strength this year.opinions vary...you've stated yours and I couldn't disagree more
If we are factoring in durability I'd give it to Murray in a slight edge.
True, but Murray and Zeke can get you 3 when only 1 is there off of physical strength. Too many variables, if I was forced to pick one I'd say Murray.I think people are looking at Zeke performance to dat and it's pretty easy to pick him, but behind an average OL...I think McCoy is the best of these 3...has the wiggle and burst to get you 3 when he should get 1 or nothing.
IMO David Johnson is the definition of a system back.
System RB is probably a bit harsh although he is also no Tom Brady, either.So...the Tom Brady of RBs...

I don't think there's a true right or wrong answer, at least not in this case. I try to stay out of whos the best conversations.Good point...If I had to quantify an avg OL with a great RB I would point to DET/Sanders...McCoy is the closest to that style so that's why I gave him the nod, but if I had to pick one...Zeke all day...more wiggle and more speed.

oh there is a true right answer to this question and it's not Shady. There isn't a football GM anywhere that would trade Elliott heads up, nor say Shady would be a better RB than Elliott if he played in Dallas.I don't think there's a true right or wrong answer, at least not in this case.
