No doubt Gordon is also getting overlooked. It's not hard to see why since Zeke is playing crazy good football right now, but these other young RB's deserve mentioning too. I especially like Ajayi since he's really only been Miami's #1 RB since week 5 and he's still over 700 yards rushing and he has the best yards per attempt of any of the RB's in the top 10. It would be really interesting to know how many yards he'd have if he'd been starting from week 1.

Love Ajayi, he has a style that tells you he isn't a flash in the pan, that kid is gonna be really good, and what him and Gase are doing for Tannehill (a guy ive always hated), is pretty unreal

1)Murray- he can do it all
2)McCoy- Same he can do everything
3)Elliot- He is good but Oline is a big reason but has a bright future.

Melvin Gordon? You guys are serious? I wouldn't take him over Spencer Ware.

If we are talking about top overall backs then yeah I probably should've put Ajayi and a couple of others. Admittedly Ive seen very little of Ajayi other than a couple of highlights and his draft film at Boise St. IIRC he fell huge in the draft but was a lot like Elliott (more explosive but less top end speed if the combine numbers say anything, too) coming out except with injury issues, character issues and not as pro ready.

If Elliot was behind an avg line he would of struggled in the start. He got comfy because of the good Oline and now he is confident.

There is probably some truth in that statement. Sometimes people get lucky with who drafts them.

Agreed...But Zeke is a special back, and barring injury, he will be one of the top players in the NFL for a while

I have seen a lot of Gordon. He is a timid runner for his skill set. He is just an average starter. I mentioned Ware who runs better in between the tackles, is generally stronger and a great receiver. Not as fast as Gordon but fast hasn't gotten Gordon to anywhere close to the top tier of RBs.

Not going to anoint one RB over another, but seeing Murray racking up yards again, will any established FA RB ever sign with a Chip Kelly ran team again? Hyde's under 4 yards per carry in SF.

What he said.... If Murray hadn't run his mouth about the Chipper he would still be in Philly....
It's good to see him running hard again. I've always like the player, and will continue too, I just hate the whiny
approach he takes...

Its as if you have missed Gordons' entire second season

He has been a workhorse, has gotten the tough yards, and the explosive plays, and has even become a weapon in the pass game, a weakness for him last season

Agree to dis-agree

His second season keeps him from being a bust but its not like he was matured into a star. He has matured into a starter.

thankfully there are a few.
It's 9 games but yes, Zeke appears to be a special runningback.

Once upon a time there was another special runningback in Dallas...he also was downgraded by some for having a solid oline. He rushed for more yards than anyone who ever played the game and most don't have him in their top 5 all time because of his teams.

Same shit different day

Well for him to get hurt he would have to be actually tackled, (right Steeler fans)
The kid is built and runs like a beast, it's not gonna be fun watching him the next 10 years...
Unless he signs with someone else after the rookie contract is up

If all 3 of them are behind the Cowboys line I'll take McCoy right now. Not really a fair question as we saw what Murray and Elliott can do behind that line. McCoy is far more versatile

Factually we really don't know how great Elliott is. He's not especially doing anything different than what Murray did in 14 when we all thought he was elite. The only thing we know for sure is that the Cowboys OL can really run block lol

very true. Same for Dak. Imagine him on the 49ers or Browns. No way he would be this good this quick.

I mean lets be honest here Dallas Oline made McFadden a 1000 yard rusher last year. LOL

Yes RBs last 5-7 years. Thats the bad thing about drafting RBs. They dont last long.

McCoy dances in the hole...my God do you people watch football before you throw out your red hot sports opinions? This running game requires patience at times for the hole to develop but requires a burst to the second level. Shady McCoy in the Dallas rushing attack? No thanks

yep...and that 4-12 team stayed true to their rushing game in order to keep games close.
65 yards a game isn't that hard if your team is committed to running the football.
