not what you said. you said if Elway passes Barkley. Forget the trade.

Again, nice try at absolutes. Elway needs more than just a RB, but they are a team with legit SUper Bowl aspirations now. How ever I could also see Elway passing on BArkley if say Darnold is sitting there at 5 some how.

What i dont see in Elway is stupidity and a desire to do the Redskins a solid just to make you and Bruce happy.

If Barkley makes it to #5, many things can happen. The Skins trading for him and not getting prison raped in the process is NOT one of those things.

2018 NFL Draft Trade Value Chart

Trade down to 22 for a second.

This... or going back a little ways for a 3rd rounder would be my preference over almost any trade up.

Doubt it happens, as all 4 (maybe even 5) QBs will be taken before our pick. If one drops, we might be able to work it out.

Someone solid will fall to us at 13. I’m hoping for one of the LBs, DBs, or Vea.

Yeah, if they trade down say 4 spots to pick up a 3rd rounder, I'm guessing one of Vea or Payne will still be there. Trading down to 22 - probably not - but possible.

Some times you need to not over think the process.

If 13 comes, and Payne or Vea are there, just live with the decision that was made. Accept that we dealt our third rounder and if Payne or Vea is our guy, just take them and dont try and get cute.

Are you taking Vea or Payne over Fitzpatrick or James?

Yep. Because as I have said before, it dont matter how sexy the secondary is if your front seven is marginal. Worst run defense in the league last year. Bottom 5 at stopping the run for what is it seven years now??

We'll have to agree to disagree there. I'd call it being smart; not cute. Otherwise, we might as well just have a 13 year old kid reading from Ourlad's running our draft.

I’m bracing for the possibility of Guice at 13, hope not personally

IM thinking if we do trade down into the 20s, he might actually be the ultimate target.
We can only hope so if Guice is the target in R1. At least there was mention of trading down for value from Bruce. We shall see.

Watch "The Human Cheat Code || Penn State RB Saquon Barkley Career Highlights ᴴᴰ" on YouTube

Kid looks special, but I don't think Carlos Hyde prevents the Browns from taking him @4. Honestly I could see the Giants taking him @2 and drafting Rudolph in the 2nd.

1. That would be your opinion.
2. Best player available is always subject to team needs.

You know, I had a special bottle of BBQ Sauce just in case I had to eat crow on a few of my comments over the years on the moves Dan and Bruce have made...

It expired unopened. :burt:

I would have a tough time passing on Fitz. He does everything in the secondary. If people feel that Ramsey should have been taken over Elliot then here is a perfect example. Fitz is basically the same player as Ramsey.

And thats AWESOME. BUt does he fix, or even attempt to fix dead last in rushing defense?? Answer NO. Will he be exciting and all that?? Sure maybe. But you are comparing apples to oranges. Fitz wont do for our defense what Elliot does for the Cowboys offense. If a Safety is the focal point of your defense, your defense has already failed. Hell even if we sign Hankins, we should STILL draft a D-lineman. Because Hankins is a piece, not a solution.

You are crazy if we sign Hankins. According to ehb5 Fitz should trump everyone and anyone. I think Earl Thomas is the main focal point in Seattle. You are valuing a NT higher then a Player who an play any position in the secondary a la Ramsey. I take Barkley over Fitz b/c like I said yesterday RB's have immediate impact. But Vea or Payne, no.

Plus you even had the stones to say if we sign Hankins who will get some good money we still draft a NT over Fitz. Wow.

Correction... I said we SHOULD sign some one to play on the line and STILL draft a D-lineman with the first rounder. Now what I expect them to do is go sexy, draft a RB or a WR or a safety, then wonder why we still cant stop the run.
