There’s been a debate about his deal since it was signed. Popular topic on the Sox board. Biggest contract in team history. I look at it this way. The Sox are in first and should make the playoffs. If he improves and they keep winning, I’m cool. I’m fine with the signing. It’s only the biggest deal in Sox history because the team has always been owned by cheap bastards. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a ton of money still.
