Flecks record while at Minnesota
vs Michigan 0-1
vs Wisconsin 1-2
vs Iowa 0-3

He has a 1-6 record vs those teams. He doesn’t seem like some savior vs them.

An yes, Clemson did beat top teams in the ACC before Dabo. Tommy Bowden just never did it consistently.

Like I said, the Michigan game was in year 1. Hardly indicative of anything. UMn beat Wisc as recently as last year. Iowa's coach has been there a very long time, they will never be an easy win.

And you talk about those games, you also fail to include that UMn presently holds the longest winning streak vs OOC opponents in the nation. HA!! That includes a Top 20 ranked Fresno St team, Wash St, Georgia Tech and Top 15 ranked Auburn.

UMn also has a 3-0 record vs Alabama, Auburn and Oregon in the 21st Century, do you honestly think that is relevant? lol

Why weren't the alums funding the department?

Minnesota leftist liberal types wanted to go the route of the University of Chicago and shut down the football program.

And the Vikings started up right around the same time, with Gopher alum Bud Grant as the coach, and Gopher Alum Carl Eller among the 3-4 former Gophers on the lineup, and 2 other local players helping to make up the Purple People Eaters, Pro football basically stepped in where cfb had formerly reigned, so the bandwagon fans lost interest.

But all of that has changed. UMn is now very well funded and supported in every sport, but especially football. Few schools can compare.

If it weren't for bandwagon fans, Minny would have no fans at all.

I understand Flecks new, but those teams have owned MinnyU recently. Ya went 0 for against Two of the them during your comeback to greatness season. There is no reason to believe next year. Will be any different.

LOL at you pumping up bowl games. Your OOC the last decade has sucked horribly. No wonder you haven’t lost to any of them. Bowl games are tougher to judge because of who is actually playing in it for each team.

An just an FYI, you beat Alabama in 2004 when they finished the season 6-6 under Mike Shula. You beat Oregon in 2003 that finished 8-5. But congrats on beating an auburn team that finished with 4 losses last year. You are really hangin your hat on that.

Oregon fb is all you got right now. Do you even have a pro football team?

So the real football fans in Minnesota go to Vikings games, not to watch the loser Gophers. Thanks for clarifying.
