I don't see it that way at all.
He had an excellent regular season. He's still theoretically improving. In time...
But by "now" you seem to think it must be based solely on results of the current season. Pryor seasons and expectations for next year don't matter?
5. Jared Dudley
4. Tristan Thompson
3. Hassan Whiteside
2. JaVale McGee
1. Patrick McCaw
You gotta knock him off to take his spot.
KD is right there, but I've never seen him do what I've seen LBJ do. And I don't think LeBron has fallen off other than this year went off the rails for his whole franchise. Those two have talents and skill sets that others are not capable of. Despite ungodly athletic ability.
My list could be very different this time next year.
Yeah, but it's also not an all time list. It's a right now list. Right now, Giannis, IMO is clearly the best player in the NBA. With the way he's elevated his team to the best record in the NBA, being 1a or 1b at the very minimum in the MVP race and being the GUY on the Bucks makes him the best player, RIGHT NOW.

One playoff series won't sway my opinion much. That is what we have to work on though.
If Giannis plays poorly and the Bucks lose in round 2, I will take him off my top line.
Right now though?
Number 1.
Well ahead of an injured 34 year old whose team missed the playoffs.
I do expect my list to look different in a month or two.
Healthy LBJ had them with home court in the first round. He didn't get knocked off?
Team misses the playoffs, and he posts the worst efficiency stats in over 12 years.
I think he got knocked off.
2014 LeBron still drags this group to 50 wins.

Four could.

I'm not holding a bad/injured half season against him enough to drop him. If KD wins another Finals MVP I might though.
It’s a reasonable opinion. If you don’t think so then you don’t watch basketball. Are you serious or just trying to troll this thread?
Giannis won't be in my Top Two.It shouldn't.
But also silly to say he needs a title.
Because GS is winning this year.
And really, KD should have the top spot if knocking off LeBron and winning rings is the criteria
Umm. Okay.I watch enough to know you are clueless.
Based on the fact that LeBron is 34 and had the worst season since his rookie year (for many reasons) I am knocking him down. It is more likely than not that his best days are in the past.
Also, I happen to believe that the caliber and depth of the elite players across the league is as great as it has ever been.
Ok. RIGHT NOW I, like you, think Lebron is still the best player in the league. No the term
Is now. Not 10 years ago. Not 6 months from now. RIGHT NOW
Giannis won't be in my Top Two.
KD and LBJ, one or the other.
Giannis could get into the Top Five though with an impressive playoffs.
