Welp the Chiefs blow a 2-0 third period lead against the Giants and give up the tying goal with 31 seconds left in the third. OT upcoming. The Chiefs are 1-9 in their last 10 home OT playoff games dating back to 2003.

Make that 2-9. :D

I think that ties the series at 2-2, right John?

Correct.

Edit: Looking at the other results, this is the only series in the entire league that was tied after 4 games and if Portland takes care of business tomorrow, it's the only series in the west that won't be a sweep. There could potentially be 5 sweeps in the first round. You see things like that a lot in the QMJHL, but that's very unusual for the dub.

Quebec finishes off Drummondville in OT to make it 7 sweeps in the 1st round in the Q. :L

The only series that is still going is the 8 vs 9 seed series between Chicoutimi and Bathurst. The # 8 seed Chicoutimi leads that one 3-1.

In one of the series' that ended last night, this is how it ended. It doesn't look like these 2 teams shook hands. The good news is I read that the guy laying on the ice at the end is fine.

Spokane crushed the Giants in Vancouver tonight by a 5-1 score and brings the series back to Spokane up 3-2. The Chiefs can close out Vancouver on Sunday. Hmm, I think I should get tickets. :)

It was a fun game, from my perspective anyway. Lots of back and forth and some great goaltending. The game swung in the Chiefs favor when they scored the go ahead (and ultimately game winning) goal with 3.4 seconds left in the 2nd period. That was the play that deflated the Giants' balloon.

The Chiefs played much better starting with game 3, but no doubt in my mind the MVP of the series was Chiefs goalie Eric Williams. Just look at the stats:

Mac Engel 0-2 6.93 GAA .804 SV%
Eric Williams 4-0 1.78 GAA .930 SV%

Williams came up big tonight again as the Giants had several odd man rushes all of which were turned away. It was amusing after game 2 was over I watched the highlights of the game on the WHL website and the Giants announcer said that Vancouver took a stranglehold on the series with a 2-0 lead. The first thing that popped into my mind was the old adage about how a team's not in trouble in a series until they lose at home. The Chiefs ended up proving it here coming back to win the next 4 games and take the series.

Now our big rivals await.

Yup series between the Chiefs and Ams are never dull. Third time in five years that these two teams will meet in the playoffs. If the Chiefs can come out of the opening weekend with a split in Kennewick, the series will get extremely interesting.

Just curious if fans travel to the other team's barn for these games and how rowdy it might get in the stands. Go Chiefs Go!

Sens prospect Stefan Noesen leading the OHL postseason with 7 goals and 7 assists in a 6 game series win over Guelph.

Very excited by this guy's long-term prospects.

Well the Saggy-Tits series was the only series in the Q to go beyond 4 games but the Chicoutimi Sagueneens managed to finish off the Bathurst Titan last night in OT to take the series in 6.
