Check out this goal by Kitchener Rangers forward Ben Thompson last night. The goal put Kitchener up 2-0 over Plymouth and the Rangers won by the same score.

So the Tigers are going to be trailing 2-0 in the series after tonight's game (currently losing 4-1 in the 3rd period). Etem did not play tonight as his suspension is yet to be determned. Are you fuckin' kidding me? When did David Branch become commissoner of the WHL? It was a freakin' accident and the Tigers have lost their best player and who knows when he'll be back.

Spokane drops game two by a 2-1 score tonight. Spokane scored the would be tying goal less than a second after time expired. Heartbreaking stuff, but there's no guarantee the Chiefs would have won the OT anyway and Spokane still managed to get the split in Kennewick. Game 3 on Wednesday.

Sounds like Chiefs captain Kramer has played well so far.

I really hope this kid can become a scrapper who can play for the Sens.

Tigers on the brink of elimination after a 4-2 loss tonight. The refs have not been great in this series, but Moose Jaw deserves full credit for their 3-0 series lead. The Oil Kings also lead their series 3-0 over Brandon.

Sorry to hear that Dash. Haven't been able to watch any of the series (would be sweet if we could get Shaw here in the States) but from what I've heard it sounds like Moose Jaw is wearing down the Tigers with physical play. I honestly thought that the series was going to be a toss up, and while I felt Moose Jaw had a decent chance to win I never thought they would be in a position to sweep the series. Hopefully Medicine Hat can at least win one for the home fans tomorrow.

The Sea Dogs had their 1st close game of the playoffs last night, but beat Baie-Comeau 5-2 to take a 3-0 series lead. 5-2 might not sound that close but it was 3-2 until about 3 minutes to go when they scored to make it 4-2 and then added an empty netter. Considering they won the 1st 2 games by a combined score of 19-5, I considered this game a nail-biter.

Meanwhile Patrick Roy, Mikhail Grigorenko, and the rest of the Remparts are the only other undefeated team in the Q playoffs and have a 3-0 over Nathan McKinnon and the Mooseheads. I'm a bit surprised this series could be a sweep but all 3 games were close.

Memorial Cup host Shawinigan is up 2-1 against Chicoutimi and Blainville-Broisband are up 2-1 against Rimouski.

Yeah, the Warriors have a big, fast team and just seem to want it more than Medicine Hat. Quinton Howden has had a heck of a series for Moose Jaw.

Tigers season is over after a 4-3 OT loss tonight. They showed good heart tonight, but the Warriors got a PP in OT and made the Tigers pay.

Have fun in Anaheim next season Emerson.

Spokane drops game 3 by a 2-1 score and Tri-City now leads the series 2-1. Game 4 becomes a must win for Spokane.

The Sea Dogs are now the only undefeated team remaining in the Q and are in the Q semis for the 3rd straight year and 4th time in the last 5 years. Another close one in Baie Comeau as they win 5-3 with an empty netter. Huberdeau and Ryan Tesink (Blues prospect) each with a pair and Charlie Coyle added 1 on a penalty shot. Not sure what happened when the series shifted to Baie Comeau but all of a sudden the Drakkar showed how they managed to sweep the heavily favoured Victoriaville Tigres. They certainly didn't do that in the 1st 2 games.

Quebec drops their 1st game of the playoffs losing to Halifax and now lead 3-1. The other 2 series are now 2-2

tremendous success considering the team would have completely turned over in that time.

I don't know who's going to come out of the Dub (I think it might be Portland), but it should be a heck of a Memorial Cup tournament this year.

That's my bet as well. Their goaltending is suspect, as evidenced by the fact they blew a 4-0 lead tonight, but despite that I just don't know if there are any teams that can keep up scoring with them over a 7 game series. I don't believe any team is capable of shutting them down. Too many weapons. I wonder how many goals they would have scored this year with Niederreiter and Johansen. Scary to even think about.

Spokane blows another 2-0 lead (nothing new) but beats Tri-City 3-2 in OT to tie the series at 2. Game 5 is tomorrow night in Kennewick.

Chiefs drop game 5 to Tri-City by a score of 5-3. Game six is in Spokane on Monday. If the Chiefs win, game 7 will be in Kennewick on Wednesday.

Well as promised the 2nd round of Q playoffs are a lot more exciting than the 1st. The Sea Dogs swept their series but the other 3 series are all going to a 7th game. Quebec got out to a 3-0 lead over Halifax but Halifax came back to tie that one up tonight. Game 7 goes tomorrow at Le Colisée. Should be a good one.

TSN just showed some highlights of that game, julian. Nathan MacKinnon has 11 goals in 10 playoffs games. James Duthie asked Bob Mackenzie if MacKinnon was draft eligible this year, would he be selected over Yakupov and Bob said "yes".
